With their record, I would just go down to the ballpark about 90 minutes before the first pitch. You'll probably find someone who will give you a ticket for free.
They reduced ticket prices this year. Outfield seat are $5 ($1 for kids). And then there's this. http://slickdeals.net/f/4127749-Discount-Tickets-for-47-Houston-Astros-2012-Season-Home-Games
Scalpers, if you can handle a negotiation properly, can get you anywhere you want for under $30. I'm going down to do it in a few minutes. Otherwise, just buy the $5 or $7 ticket upperdeck ticket and wait for the usher to leave the entrance section you want (because they don't have as many ushers as sections and rotate them) and sit wherever the f**k you want, because there's not a damn row filled. If someone comes and sits in your seat, just move two down. If anybody makes a fuss, make a huge scene about how you'll pay for a real ticket when they give you a real team. I've done it. No shame. Not in this ballclub's stadium. Even if you want to sit in the field level, the tickets are only like $50-60 at the box office, IIRC.
They had a bunch of 10 games for 20 dollars last year. Greatest deal ever. I mean you could sneak down every game.
This site has all of the corporate discount codes. http://slickdeals.net/f/4127749-Discount-Tickets-for-47-Houston-Astros-2012-Season-Home-Games
go to minute maid stadium and search the trash bins:grin: kidding. i need to make it to a game or two
just throwin it out there since ticket board is slow in past for me to get scoop anybody have info on discounted tickets for Royals/Stros game Tuesday night (+ maybe a parking pass)?
nice, nice. that $5 nosebleeds idea is bit better than $14 minimum lowest ticket on stubhub. 1st game in like 5 years. lets get em Stros! http://www.stubhub.com/houston-astros-tickets/astros-vs-royals-6-19-2012-2095407/
I'd just do what most others are saying and buy the outfield seats and try to work your way down. Unless you are going to a weekend game against a marquee team or rival, that shouldn't be too hard. You could probably find some on StubHub for a dollar or two cheaper, but for me, I'd rather just walk up and buy them rather than fuss with buying them online and picking them up or printing them off.
I went tonight. Walked up to the gate at 6:55 and bought a $5 ticket, then strolled right into section 108 and watched the whole game. Incredibly easy.
