Before the game I asked some friends the same question and set the over/under at 10. Everyone said over. But with this team full of chuckers (Evans, Thornton, Salmons, Greene, etc.) it's going to be incredibly hard for Jimmer to get shots even when he's playing well (like tonight - 3/4 FG).
Yeah, and he didn't force his shot. They were playing him out high, way out high, and instead of forcing, he drove and dished. Good game.
Tonight illustrates why you can't use the pre-season to predict what kind of rookie year a player will have (Derrick Chievous). If/when the Kings turn to trash and winning isn't the highest priority, Jimmer's minutes and scoring will go up. If you want Jimmer to get a lot of shots, hope the Kings fall out of contention for a playoff spot early on.
It looks like he won't be the superstar because they play him like a role player. I think he will be a special player in time.
why would they play him like a superstar though? evans/cousins are the star players on that team. why give the ball to some unproven chucker with below average D.
the only superstar they have is Cousins. Evans is nothing but a chucker. He's the same player he was the day he came into the league. If they get rid of him and get a real PG, then the Kings will go somewhere.
WHAT???? I put cousins as the third best player. Marcus Thornton is number 1, Tyreke is number 2, and Cousins is number 3....
