    Gutting your team to trade for one is not going to happen in today's NBA. Those people all want to go to a "real contender" like Dallas or a "glamor" city like NYC or LA or Miami. So what is your plan B? Plan A is not possible.

    Yes it is. I understand the premise that a team can come out of nowhere and win, such as the Mavs. But you still need that uber-elite player.
