Nene isn't going together paid 70 million.

My guess is he'd come here for $14 million per. No state income tax and a supposedly the meet he and Mchale had was very good. Wo knows

Just talked to Samuel Dalembert. If top choice of Houston doesn't work out, he named Golden State, Denver and Toronto as possibilities.

West is coming off a Serious knee injury. Otherwise he would have signed. Will he ever be the same again? Roll them bones! LOL

And you know what, Otis was a better player then Nene is so I would understand that. Scola got what, 47 mill? 55 mill sounds more plausible for someone like Nene, but 70 mill and I'm suddenly nitpicking what Nene can't do.

As stated before, that no state income tax is a lot of hullabaloo for the armchair GMs to pontificate on. When you get up in that dollar amount, the state income tax becomes chump change.

*facepalm* You do realize the difference between a FA and not a free agent, right? Just like Albert Pujols the "Free Agent" got more money from the Angels than Albert Pujols the "before he was Free Agent" got less money from the Cardinals, right?

All players pay tax on games played in states with income tax. All players benefit from no tax on the games played in states with no income tax.

Can you elaborate on that? You mean like a round a bout way?

    Nene isn't getting 70 million.

He is looking at 16 million a year.

Again, if you can get a top 5 C and a top 5 PF for under 33 million or so total, you do it...

So if a player plays 50% of his games in a non-tax state should pay a lot less in income tax compared to a player who plays 50% of his games in a taxed-state, right?

    Isn't that his point?

I'm not even arguing free agent money and RFA, I'm just talking about my opinion of what Nene is worth, which for the umpteenth time, is not 70 mill. I don't think it's even 64 mill. 55-60 mill tops IMO.

    This trade should work IMO

Rockets Trade: Luis Scola, Hasheem Thabeet, Goran Dragic, Jordan Hill, Courtney Lee, and 1st Round Pick
Rockets Receive: Pau Gasol and 1st Round Pick from LA

LA Trade: Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Darius Morris, and 1st Round Pick
LA Receive: Chris Paul, Trevor Ariza, and Jordan Hill

NOLA Trade: Chris Paul and Trevor Ariza
NOLA Receive: Luis Scola, Hasheem Thabeet, Goran Dragic, Courtney Lee, Darius Morris, and 1st Round Pick from Rockets

    Then, Rockets sign Nene

    C: Nene/Patterson
    PF: Gasol/Morris
    SF: Bud/Williams
    SG: K-Mart/Parsons
    PG: Lowry/Flynn

Again in this thread: Gasol has a 15% trade kicker. He will make 21.5 million a year here. AND: Nene is no top 5 center nor a top 5 PF!

    !!!

I love that but...I'd rather keep Morris and trade BUD..I have a FEELING morris will be so affective it would be a regret on our part. But mostly for me Keepin K-mart is the Key for Outside scorer and we have inside scorer.

So we have to wait until next week to find out what we're giving up and getting, and every day that passes allows other teams to get involved and maybe even push the Rockets completely out of the deal?

What a cluster of a weekend.
