WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski The Hornets are near a deal to send Chris Paul to the Lakers for Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom, league source tells Y! Sports.
If Paul has no interest in staying beyond a rental, why sit on our hands? If we can walk away with a top 15 talent then it is a win. Pau doesn't have to be the next Hakeem to be a success as a Rocket.
I don't think anyone can foresee the future not named Morey oh really did I say that BTW Marc is good but not an allstar
The Hornets wanted to send CP3 to LA for Gasol and late picks. The Lakers didn't want to give Gasol straight up for CP3 so they contacted Houston to see what they could offer for Gasol. LA likely wanted Patterson (and Budinger) for themselves, and for Houston to send Scola, Martin, and picks to NO. aka they got greedy. None of it made sense from the start.
So now instead they get broke legs Bynum and old 6th man Odom? LOL! Oh well. At least we dont lose anyone significant to get old Gasol.
LOL at this rollercoaster... and Bynum > anything the Rockets can offer IMO. But you'd think the Hornets would be able to dump some salary in the deal.
ESPN: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7...-los-angeles-lakers-pau-gasol-houston-rockets Just a trick to see what Rockets players the Hornets are interested in. If they will take Luis Scola or Kmart plus picks for Paul, we will do a straight up trade then go after D12 with Lowry and the remainder of Kmart and Scola. would leave Paul/ Dragic Courney Lee/Twill Morris/Bud Patterson/Hill/Hayes Howard/Thabeet
Whatever happens, the NBA right now is crazy. It's like what happened right after the NFL lockout, but 100 times greater. Seems like the entire NBA is being moved around.
