Public polls this time please! Also, are there rules concerning trades? I'm personally in favor of allowing just 1 trade per person.
If we don't do the 2k11 simulation or use a simulation website, we'll definitely do public polls this time. As far as trades go, I'm in favor of them, but if you end up a pick or two short, it's your fault. If someone's about to get raped in a trade, someone should speak up.
I'm still upset about the last draft. All that effort just to be undone by the power of anonymity on the internet. Happy we get to draft again though!
same here, but it was still fun to go through the whole draft process....it was good warm up for this 12 rounder here..
one drawback of this draft is that its going to require people to know about lesser known players. for instance, no one knew who casspi was and thought he was a garbage pick. a few more rules to consider (off the top of my head): 1) no incoming rookies 2) players chosen must have played at least half the 2010-2011 season 3) all trades need to be done 1:1 4) there should be veto rules for trades (i.e. if the majority of teams feels a trade is lopsided, then it can be veto'd). i know this would really slow down the trading process, but there was too much trading going on anyways. i'm not a fan of the simulation idea since a computer may not run an offense like i would. for instance, in the last draft thread, i planned my offense to initiate with garnett in the post. however, in reality, he didn't get that many post touches b/c he played alongside rondo/allen/pierce. i think that a computer generated simulation would allocate his simulated post touches based on his actual post touches...which defeats the purpose of building a team based on a predetermined game plan. if we really feel our team is superior, we should be able to explain why...
