I found this while looking for more on the Biedrins trade that fell through: http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pl...news.asp?sport=NBA&id=1051&line=161583&spln=1 This link is referencing Justice's tweet, but the tweet doesn't say any of this, just that the trade fell through and they'll keep talking it out, so i'm not sure where this info came from. If it's true, then it makes you wonder if Biyombo was going to be traded for Biedrins? As for Biedrins becomng a rocket, i dont see the problem with his contract. 9 mill per year, for 3 yrs? Sounds about right for someone that can get you 10 and 11, with 2 blocks. Obviously he needs to get healthy or he will be overpaid, but that goes for most players.
Target was Biyombo but trade was for 8th pick from Detroit. Pistons are overloaded with players from 1 to 4. They don't have a 7 footer on their roster. So maybe it was a 3 way deal with Biedrins headed to Pistons?
LOL, whaaat? Are you serious with this? Surely you can't be serious. A 6-11 offense-only Center of the Nelly school and and a 6-5 wide-bodied defense specialist. He's got about as much in common with Chuck Hayes as JJ Barea does with Michael Cooper.
The Biedrins interest reeks of Morey being resentful over the Chandler trade falling through. He missed out on grabbing Chandler at the bargain price price of Jeffries, so he's willing to overpay for another lanky, athletic rebounder with injury issues. Too bad Biedrins is half the player and has three times the contract length.
So it took him a year to be resentful? He's lost out on other guys in the past, why would he act out now and never before?
If its Beidrins. I am gonna be like meh. Another broke guy whoi cant get onto the court at center. Now it might turn out good later. Who knows. My first gut reaction is Meh as just being honest.
IMO, he's been frustrated all year and especially after the trade deadline. He's always wanted to improve the team with every trade, but missed out on all his targets lately (Melo, Dwill, Chandler, Gortat, Granger, Nene, Iggy). Did he look happy with his return on AB and Battier to you? The inability to trade up to Valanciunas and the subsequent pursuit of Biedrins shows that he's trying to balance out the roster, even if it's just a lateral move. Either that or he must think that Biedrins can flourish given a new chance in scenery. That's never really been Morey's style before.
Where the hell do you people come up with this? So Daryl Morey has a trade fall through (which happens far more than trades being complete) for Tyson Chandler a year ago.... now, one year later Morey is resentful (at Dallas? at Charlotte? at Chandler?) and to get even, he attempts to get Biedrins from GS.. and the connection is that they both are centers........ which also happens to be the Rockets weakness.... but it is because he is resentful? This doesn't even take into account that "Dick" Justice is one of the reasons this rumor won't die.... Yeah... you are right, the master plan to get even is clear now.
You really have never watched any team but the Rockets have you? An offensive center. LOL. Please, dude, refrain from posting if you have ZERO idea what you are talking about.
A lot of people are complaining that we have too many people that can play certain positions. Since when did too many good players become a problem? The beauty of our current roster is that we can make a major trade with any team in the nba and our players would fit their needs without leaving us with a gaping hole. Therefore, when assessing trades, Morey doesn't have to worry about whether he shouldn't trade someone because then we'll be without a certain position (see Kahn's rationale for picking Flynn according to his interview). Have faith. The day of an awesome trade will come!
Love it MoreyTrying to Low Ball I was always curious who we were trying to give up for this mediocre center. I wouldn't mind is that is all we give up even though I wanted to see Hill develop. http://www.ibabuzz.com/warriors/2011/06/25/warriors-arent-just-giving-away-biedrins/
