Thanks for using Spec Ops instead of bombs.

Thanks for acting when the opportunity presented itself.

Thanks for making this top priority again.

    Oh noes.

Is Adelman planning to bench Obama, or is Morey readying up his assets?

Thanks, Obama, for finally doing something right. There's a first time for everything.

Considering that Obama was advised to use bombs instead of special ops, and he chose to use the Navy Seals. You may want to give him some appreciation.

Considering that he asked ahead of time what the plan was should a chopper go down during the mission, and they planned for it, you may want to have some appreciation.

Go back to when he said during the campaign that if the US could take out Osama in Pakistan, he would do it. And McCain and the others were crying about Obama treating our "ally" like that, and how bad it was for him to say such a thing. Obama didn't listen and chose to lead instead. You may want to have some appreciation.

Bottom line was he did a good job in his leadership role. He handled the 3 AM call, and did so with guts.

Heck yeah, the military deserves all the praise anyone can give them in this. They did a tremendous job. But the leader and Commander-n-Chief deserves some appreciation as well.

A half r****ded monkey could have made the right decision with the "pool of evidence". Do you let Americas top trained specialists go in and do their job? Or do you go out back and shoot hoops on the White Houses basketball hoop? Any president of the USA would have made the same decision with the same position he was in. Check yourself puss

Very nice post, and I read what you have to say and I see that totally. But look, this is all im saying. In my eyes, he hasnt done that great of a job (his approval rating nowadays can prove that as well). He finally does something somewhat courageous and people want to bow down and shine his shoes for it? Sorry, i'll give credit where credit is due, but just because he finally gets it right doesn't mean I should even consider giving him my approval as a president.

Whoops. I just saw your post above.

I'm not saying you have to like Obama. There's plenty about him I don't like. But in this case, he did the right thing. It was different than what Bush did with Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in Iraq. Bush decided to bomb rather than use special ops. So I don't think it's something any president would have done, especially after all the grief Obama got during the campaign for saying he'd move into Pakistan if they could take Obama out.

Thanks for not changing anything Bush had in place with regards to military policy including Secretary of defense.

Most managers always want their own people and policy but Obama recognized what was working and left it alone.

i'm going to humor myself and the rest of the board and play along...

do you have any idea of the potential consequences had this mission gone awry? do you think these guys are playing call of duty where you get a reset button? you do realize that they had no 100% concrete proof that osama was actual on locale? do you know what kind of resolve it takes to call a massive covert operation in your own allies backyard without them even knowing??? what happens if the pakistani army shoots down the us helicopters thinking its a foreign attack? do you know how much brain-numbingly hot air braindead dipsh!ts like yourself would be spewing had this mission gone wrong?

don't get me wrong, i know you're clearly a complete moron a likely cant comprehend half the words i even typed, let alone complex covert operations and their potential ramifications... but i'd love to see you attempt to string together complete and rational thoughts on this matter. the comedic potential should be astronomical.

edit: who said anything about giving obama approval for being president? reading comprehension clearly not a strong suit of yours. how bout another basketball joke. or maybe a fried chicken joke would suffice this time. you're a goon.

I am glad i was not around the board these past days. Seeing petty arguments over this awesome event is sad.
