What happened to Jeff?

That's common knowledge, huh? I don't stray into hangout too often since I registered.

 

Perhaps Jeff just turned on his lurking mode. Though I would like to know if he eventually got those Chinese characters tattoo or not.

Jeff will be back once hurricane season starts.

 

I don't believe he was banned. IIRC, he sulked off in shame from his own shenanigans.

Basically, he gets busted in that thread.

 

Um, still here. A few notes...

I am not yet at SXSW, however, I will be there starting probably Thursday night. My band is playing at Guero's on Saturday at 1:30pm at one of the day parties.

As to why I'm not around the Hangout, the truth is that when I posted I was getting divorced over four years ago, I was really disheartened by some of the responses from people on the BBS. Some of the things people said were really personal and some of the questions were really over the line.

No long before that, someone who had been banned thought I was Clutch and went nuts all over the internet posting my name and address and telling people they should go to my house and kill me and my (then) wife.

It was the combination of those factors that made me realize I needed a break from the BBS (the Hangout anyway) and find ways to connect with people online that I had connections with in the non-virtual world, which was probably a good thing because it gave me time to focus on things like work and music and photography.

I still glean over threads in here and in the GARM. I still occasionally shoot people down in the D&D. Mostly, I just lurk, but I haven't gone anywhere.
