...I propose a rebranding of the Astrodome... ...I could TOTALLY see Alex Jones emceeing this thing....
Right-wing extremists have killed 329 victims in the last 25 years, while antifa members haven't killed any, according to a new study New research, based on almost 900 politically-motivated plots and murders in the US since 1994, found only one person's death in the last 25 years was linked to "antifa" or anti-fascists, and the person who died was the attacker. In comparison, over that same period, 329 murders were linked to the far-right. When the label was broadened from anti-fascists to left-wing violence, it found 21 victims had been killed since 2010, compared to 117 in right-wing violence in the same time period. Jihadist groups were responsible for 95 people's deaths since 2010. The most significant domestic terrorism threat comes from white supremacists, anti-government militias and a handful of individuals associated with the 'boogaloo' movement that are attempting to create a civil war in the United States." https://www.businessinsider.com/right-wing-extremists-kill-329-since-1994-antifa-killed-none-2020-7
If they broke the law they and all the people who planned it should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And, I assume you agree that all those who broke the law and planned the events on January 6th should also be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Or am I wrong?
Tells me Portland needs a RenFest. People need a place to get together, dress up in costume, and act like jackasses.
Yeah, it's actually the extreme left groups that are more dangerous than Antifa. Antifa are just a bunch of anti-fascists that are the opposite of folks like Boebert, Gaetz, and MTG.
They are just people against FACISM, my Grandfather when he stormed Omaha beach on June 6th 1944 was Antifa..... DD
Exactly. That's why I said they are the opposite of folks like MTG, Boebert, and Gaetz who lean more like fascists.
I know I sound like I'm repeating myself ad nauseam about 1920s Germany but these type of street battles between brownshirt right wingers and anti-fascist communists/socialists/anarchists were common place. A large chunk of the moderate conservative population in Germany gained sympathy for a lot of the brownshirts whenever the antifascists pushed back hard with violence and thus that same mindset of "both sides are the same" occured creating apathy for a large chunk of Germans who probably didn't align with a lot of the extreme elements of the Nazi party... We know what happened after.
The main issue though was that the movement in Germany was working to help elect a Liberal representative with such a fractured right wing so the German oligarchs made the decision to financially back Hitler's Nazi party to consolidate the right.... all so they didn't have to you know.... pay more taxes in a liberal Democracy. This is a must read, and tells us ALOT about what is going on right now with the billionaire class and Trump. This is why so many people were freaked out by Bernie being the candidate because they knew like clockwork that pretty much anyone with a billion dollars + would start dumping money left and right into Trump's campaign. Antifa was a successful propaganda tool for the Nazi's yes, but the messages go nowhere without money to fund the message.... hence why alot of people are freaked out about Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. Right now where we are from a messaging/whataboutism standpoint, someone like Elon Musk has the ability to fund messaging on about 1,000 different "Antifa's" if he so chooses. That's a huge problem we have coming at us soon.
Portland schools' Palestine protests seem to also get infiltrated by black-clad antifa troublemakers. I assume they're smashing up this Starbucks because they think that Starbucks has been in support of the attack on Gaza, which is a rumor passed around on Tiktok. I think antifa does themselves and their purported allies a disservice with their zealotry. They seem to have a pretty high-minded idea of themselves, but they look like street thugs to me.
