Imagine MDA coaching this starting 5: Brodie Beard Thabo Durant Ibaka With a bench of: Nate Robinson Jeff Green Kendrick Perkins Mo Peterson And all of them in their PRIME or near prime. This was Thunder roster in 2010-2011. Following season Thunder acquired Reggie Jackson.
Rus, Beard, House, RoCo, Serge. I like it. Either Fat Gordon is involved in acquiring Serge or Fat returns to the six man role
Houston Thunder Rockets* If Serge took the MLE this offseason, then would the Rockets have another one next offseason to resign PJ? If they did then they would have a rotation of... WB Harden/Gordon House RoCo Ibaka/PJ All of those guys will be pretty old by then but it’s still a good rotation. Turn EG into AG like you’ve been writing about and it’s a really good rotation. Hopefully they’re able to retain Green, Rivers and McLemore as well. I doubt all of that will happen but it would be pretty cool if it did.
Not just that, but imagine having them for a decade from very early 20’s through early 30’s... how many titles? Do the Warriors ever really do anything? What about LeBron?
Yep. Sam Presti F'ed up big time. And Scottie Brooks was wrong coach for this team. Again, if D'Antoni coached such skilled players these guys would have been a dynasty. The Warriors before the Warriors. Just even better. 3 F'ing MVPs!!! What a wasted opportunity.
Just pray first that we don't lose to Thunder in the playoffs or Tilman is going to blow up this team sky-high from the embarrassment.
Time flies, I've got acquaintances that were avid NBA fans that don't know of an OKC Thunder because their lives kept them away for too long.
