I love how House has been playing, but this is a little bit of a disingenuous exaggeration... It wasn't even a go-ahead play. Nor was it a game-sealing play, let alone game winning. To some extent, I'm splitting hairs. It was a huge play for sure, but objectively false exaggerations get to me, heh. Plus, it's unfair to give him that much credit after all the big plays and big FTs by so many guys in the last couple mins (Westbrook, Covington, Harden...).
I agree with you! Down 8 in the last 3 minutes, Rockets held Bucks to 4 points and scored 16. I believe Russ scored most of those points, RoCo and House had 2 each, James had 1. There may have been a 3 from PJ too.
House and Gordon are both streaky as hell, but House seems to be a tad more consistent recently. But I do like that House is longer, but Gordon is stronger. There's pros and cons to both, but House has performed a lot better this season.
I find it amusing that McLemore and House are on fire right now......how long they can maintain it we'll await.
House is a much younger player and undrafted if I recall, there is some upward trajectory. Gordon was a good scorer for 6-7 years, it is natural that his game seems to be declining. That is just how it is. Eric Gordon never started out as a 3 pt specialist, he was a like a Mitch Richmond lite when with Clippers. He just grew into the role but was always streaky.
hes always good when he drives... however when his shot selection is lacking then he becomes a liability
He's not longer than Gordon. Gordon has 1 inch more of wingspan, House has 1 inch more height. Gordon is stronger but House is more athletic. House is playing well and Gordon has played poorly, but tbh I want Gordon's defense against shorter players and Gordon seems to be better at guarding those.
EGo is 6'3 with just under 6'10 wingspan. House is 6'6 with 6'8 wingspan. EGo is not just stronger but has the more explosive leaper and better lateral agility.
House is playing great, but last year he played great and stunk it up in the playoffs. When EGO gets back, he should just come off the bench and go from there. Don't like how MDA wanted to force EG into the starting lineup when EG has never played well there when playing with Harden and Russ.
Record speaks for itself when House starts vs Gordon. Surprised D'Antoni chooses to ignore the simple analytics on this one. Morey, do something!
Make no mistake about it.... EG is NEEDED!!... we need him to get to where we are going. It will be interesting to see where exactly they put him...6th on the bench, or starter. Lets see....but we need him.
