Newsmax was reporting this as the Herman Cain official web site was also supposedly reporting this... had been hospitalized and on oxygen with COVID-19... if the reports are true, condolences and prayers to Cain's family and friends.

Man...I feel for his family and friends. Whatever his politics, and whatever idiocy he was spouting before he caught the virus, none of us deserve to have to go through this.

Our government should be working to ensure that even the ignorant and those that don't believe in science remain safe. Our government has failed time and again when it comes to this virus and we've lost over 150K people in large part because of that ineptness. It's time to get rid of all responsible for this mess.

    Per his website...

Romans 2:6-7 says: “God ‘will repay each person according to what they have done.’ To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.”

    ...rest of the verses:

But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.

    RIP...

But, you have to admit he made a fatal mistake. He went to that Tulsa Covid party without a mask and then got sick shortly after that. Terrible terrible mistake. No one is happy that this man is dead. But, this is what happens when you ignore the doctors and listen to Trump.

He didn't remotely celebrate his death. He didn't even say he deserved to die for valid criticisms.

I think most of us just hope it is a wake-up call for others like him.

since the waiver states only "illness or injury", can DJT be held liable for this?

I know we love our tribal drumbeats, both of us included, but what on earth in that quoted line is celebratory? Cain did downplay the virus, despite being in an at-risk group. It's very sad for his family and apparently for a lot of people who worked with him and for him who said he was a great presence in their lives.

He deserved a better end than ICU isolation and breathing agony. RIP.
