Anyone else like to place bets on earnings. We got banks plus other heavy hitters like UNH, JNJ, ABT (textbook bull flag if you believe in TA). I’ll probably take another stab at JPM hoping the loan provisions come in okay and maybe NFLX if it sells off post earnings.
sorry, but im w Whag00 on this one u can always buy PUT insurance on your NFLX stock; since the implied vol is so high, double the "potential" profit by also selling a otm call after a long consolidation period, poised for a pop for the ERS on this coming Thu
Any good resources you guys recommend to learn technical analysis? I really enjoyed tastytrade for learning stuff about option strategies. I was planning to just see what's available on YouTube in terms of TA, but wanted to see if you guys had any recommendations.
lol. I wasn’t disagreeing. Just joking to not bring bad luck. The run-up has been pretty incredible in a lot of these NASDAQ stocks.
Looked a bit into FSLY as it's down a bit today. Anyone familiar with their biz and moat/competitive advantage? They are a CDN running on google cloud; what's to stop Google from simply providing the same CDN service in future?
I so want to short tsla, but the market can be irrational longer than you can be solvent. 300 billion dollars for a company that generates no cash. Same with Netflix. Amzn generates about as much cash as Walmart, but it's worth 1.6 trillion.
If you really want to, consider puts so that you don't get squeezed by 1 day spikes? I'm not touching it though...
this warrants repeating, the longer the horizontal base, the higher the vertical space IBB is coming off a 5-yr base, w a 2-mo long consolidating period before taking out the previous all time high established 5 yrs ago, and then another new all-time high again
Options are even worse they have theta. The stock market has completely decopuled itself with reality at this point. I guess you can thank jpow.
Especially from companies not really making anything yet! on a side-note, a bunch of high-flying stocks just gave up their gains... TSLA, NFLX, etc.
Well I have some it too. Unfortunately it probably is the future but overvalued at the same time. i really think biotech is undervalued though. As this becomes more advanced they will be raking in money.
