@dachuda86 if you are so anti-Nazism, why are you pushing white nationalist ideas? The whole socialism is Nazisim is a white nationalist talking point. You've been shown this multiple times, and yet you keep doing it. That's why it's clear you are a white nationalist spreading white nationalist propaganda. You'd like nothing more for Trump to be the new Hitler
the ideal is that everyone has everything and share everything, a utopian with no difference between anybody a common execution of that idea is to concentrate power in a source (gov), allowing that source to enforce the ideal and that's one way they ended up killing people.... concentrated power in corrupt and morally bankrupt leaders
We have a very difficult time discussing leftist economics in this country in any way because for seventy years the american right has been framing any single possible step to the left as the slippery slope to a communist dystopia. Either from a cynical standpoint of marketing, or perhaps from a hard-wired inability of conservative brains to process shades of grey or a spectrum of possibilities between one and zero, we are told over and over that socialism and communism are the same thing because once you take a step in that direction it's already over. Reagan in the 60s told us Medicare would lead to communism. Bill O'Reilley on the John Stuart show discussing the top tax bracket going up three points from 36 to 39: Socialism! Decade after decade, pounding this binary, black-and-white, over-simplified idea that any increased government expenditure to anything other than military is going to go down the slippery slope to socialism/communism. America can't have a productive public discussion about this because our cultural institutions have failed in educating the public on what the different sides are. Bernie de-stigmatizing the word socialism is one step, but really just a half step.
Actually i just want to see if the leftists here are capable of drawing a line for what is too far left.
How the Right Wing Convinces Itself That Liberals Are Evil https://washingtonmonthly.com/magaz...wing-convinces-itself-that-liberals-are-evil/
I dislike extreme authoritarianism of any kind despite being “far left”. Does this blow your mind Dachuda?
"Upon arrival at Auschwitz, the SS forcibly split the men from the women and children, and Otto Frank was separated from his family. Those deemed able to work were admitted into the camp, and those deemed unfit for labour were immediately killed. Of the 1,019 passengers, 549—including all children younger than 15—were sent directly to the gas chambers. Anne Frank, who had turned 15 three months earlier, was one of the youngest people spared from her transport."
The term “left” implied liberalism which is a synonym for individual liberty. So I dunno... I’ll push the question back to you. How much individual liberty should a citizen have in a functional society? That’s why we have a Democracy designed for compromise. The right works it out with the left and in the middle is the secret sauce. Some on the right want to live in a 365 day church camp. Some on the left want to live a 365 Burning Man festival. But we work sh$t out to balance. That’s the point of Democracy folks like yourself don’t get. FYI Burning Man was awesome when I went but yeah I guess that 365 in every city every day all year would probably be the definition of “too far left” if you need an accurate description. Excess of individual liberty doesn’t really fit the bill of Nazi youth camps or North Korea work camps like FoxNews would mislead you to believe. It would be excess of freedom in a way that disregards societal productivity. So Burning Man everywhere all day is pretty much the definition.
