Hell, son, America's, Hugo's, Backstreet, there's a whole lot of good brunches in Houston without having to deal with muppets. These days I just cook it in my back yard.
Been to Hugo's a few times. I've never been impressed. Both with Brunch & Dinner. Torchy's would be much better if they made their own tortillas.
Torchy's is trash. Its even trash here in Colorado, why texans eat there is beyond me. TGI Fridays of tacos
I thought that initially; especially their tortillas, but living across the street from one changed my mind a bit, as did my sister. The two I like are the Trailer Trash & the Dirty Sanchez. I thought it was funny when I saw my son in college last year and they had a Torchy's, but no Dirty Sanchez. I guess it makes kids giggle a bit too much in Fayetteville.
Any Mexican restaurant (especially a chain! ****!) that doesn't make their own tortillas is a no-go for me. And they sell merchandise. Spaceballs the Taco.
Last time I went to Torchys, their chips and queso were too damn salty. With that being said, I’m fine with any truck off of Edgebrook.
I had it at Phillipe. It was good, but I'd rather have a steak. And really the worst date I've had and there have been several!
After hearing all their ads on the Astros games we decided to go there once. It was awful. I don't understand why they're so popular.
