Read his twitter about it. You can't read it and think he wasn't in on it. Even if it wasn't his idea...would you give that tweet if you didn't fully believe it? And then he doubled down after the FBI said it wasn't a hate attack. He's definitely in on it. The only question is whether it was his idea, or NASCAR's.
In a sport that recently banned a symbol of white supremacy from its venues, much to the resentment of many of its fans, it was reasonable for him to infer that if a "noose" was found that it was racially motivated. Only someone looking for a reason to discredit a black man in a white man's sport would assume that he must have purposely staged it, a la Smollet.
Sweet. Glad to know no one did this. False alarm and good results came of it. Traitor flags are still banned and top NASCAR drivers stood in solidarity with a black member
I have no reason to believe Wallace staged this. It seems like an ill advised rush to conclusion by whomever reported it and then the further reporting by others. There are things which are unmistakable evidence of a hate crime. A garage pull tied in that manner I don’t think constitutes that. It could have an innocent explanation and it did.
I felt bad for him. A similar situation happened last week in houston and one in oakland as well. The oakland one was a neighborhood swing.
I just read the Oakland "noose" story. The mayor is trying to capitalize on these racists "nooses" as a hate crime to score brownie points with her constituency even though it was a swing set up by black residents. LOL.
Yeah. I feel bad that folks are lashing out at Bubba. The noose had been there since last October. Wallace only moved in last week. So it isn't like he had any knowledge
Has anyone said why the door pull was fashioned as a noose back in October or whenever it first happened? They haven't found any more door pulls fashioned like a noose - have they?
I haven't found a single article that says that. It seems if every garage door had a noose shaped door pull, it would have been prominently mentioned.
People were so stupid to have believed Bubba Wallace in the first place. Of course, I saw right through his lies. Dude was out to become a star, stepping all over LEGITIMATE victims of racism in the process. That's the pity here - Bubba's actions will make people believe that future acts of racism are faked just like Bubba and Jussie. Why are these social justice warriors so dishonest?! An entire movement built on so many lies...
They technically weren't nooses because nooses tighten as you pull them. What they mistook for a noose was just a loop at the end of a rope.
I didnt see it. Was it an actual hangman's noose with 13 turns of the rope like out of a Western, or was it just a rope with a knot and a loop on the end?
Still weird that none of the articles or the FBI report didn't contain something like "The noose shaped door pull was similar to the door pulls on the other garages at the track"
You have to assume about 20 people at the garage saw the thing and probably most knew exactly what it was and were too afraid to say it. Ropes to close a garage door are very common and in fact all the garages next to them had it.
