We are recording a SHARP increase in cases, with multiple days exceeding 1k, today nearly 2k cases. We will become NY if something is not done.
I'm not disagreeing with you (though NY was exacerbated by international travel, the transit system, and a lack of knowledge on what the hell was going). But it's Greg Abbott you have to convince if you want to shut down a city.
You know it’ll probably be something stupid like eye glasses or a face shield are the most effective intervention in reducing infectivity from COVID. Around non-household members? Wear a mask.
No case spike in Harris County, considered the "hardest hit" of Texas... Nationwide no spike in death rates, which should be the only stat that matters. (people are getting tested a LOT more often these days, so those numbers would obviously spike. https://harriscounty.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/c0de71f8ea484b85bb5efcb7c07c6914
Why should death rate be the only stat that matters? If people need to be hospitalized due to Covid then theyre taking away beds from those who need those beds for non covid reasons.
The lockdown was specifically put in place to prepare hospitals. Recall those temp places and ships that were never used? This has gotten out of hand by the chicken little's out there.
Houston is exploding in cases not because of re-opening - but because people have not been taking any of the necessary precautions when stepping outside of their home. No masks, no social distancing, many see it as a sign of weakness and then end up on their death bed or infecting others. With all the spread out real estate, cars, facilities.... it should never have progressed to this stage.
Right. It had nothing to do with the governor being one of the 1st states to open (bars and restaurants included) with no strict mask policy.
It is updated every day at 4 p.m. Other data: https://www.google.com/search?q=har...61j69i60l2.12959j0j9&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
It's completely inconsistent with what our mayor is reporting. The link you just sent me a google stats for deaths in Texas, which shows a total number for Harris county cases at the bottom of that page, which is also inconsistent with the website you initially sourced.
That's also a .gov website for Harris County. Better question is where is Sylvester getting his numbers?
I don't doubt its updating every day, but what the **** are those numbers because they are inconsistent (in a major way) with our mayor and our health department. Something is off or we're not seeing some sort of clarification that would explain the differences.
Numbers from our mayor and health department are propaganda? I don't know why your idiocy still shocks me, but it does.
I'm not calling that source propaganda, but there's something wrong with their numbers, I have to believe our mayor would have the correct and most up to date numbers. Him calling our mayor and health department propaganda is f*cking amazingly stupid though.
No, what I'm saying is, Roscoe called your numbers propaganda while saying his numbers are "the actual number." I'm just wondering what Roscoe's reasoning is, for calling what you posted, propaganda.
