If course, trump has to insert himself and politicize it...

You have protestors, and then you have the poor & angry who will use a situation to their advantage.

People who damage property and loot are criminals. But ultimately if you don't address the underlying issues, violence will increase across this country.

Floyd and the murderer worked together? Before becoming an officer?

I have no problem with protesters setting the precinct on fire and a lot of the destruction they have caused. The governments, both local and federal, need to realize that enough people are sick of the BS in the treatment of black men, minorities and the poor by authority figures.... so either address the problems or deal with the consequences.

Floyd and murdered worked together and knew each other? Do you mean the cop and Floyd? That’s pretty hard to believe

Trump's twitter response is insane man.

I don't agree with the methods (although, if they had just burned down the precinct I think they'd have a lot more sympathy, the looting just seems selfish...) but I do understand the anger.

If Trump actually sends in the national guard he's begging for more protests. You CANNOT send in the military to shoot at civilians. How could he even consider that?

"When the looting starts, the shooting starts..." This is a quote...from the President...

That’s what she said. Apparently they were both doormen at a bar and did security. I took it as he was moonlighting as a second job.

What’s the saying about when you are a hammer everything looks like a nail?

Trump only knows how to do one thing... troll and escalate cowardly internet fights. If he actually drove and saw a wreck on the side of the road he wouldn’t stop and help... he’d stop and start slashing tires because he cannot stand to have the story by about anyone but him no matter the situation.

Worked at the same club within last year as security guard and off duty officer. Might not have known each other though.

No not at all. He’s only thinking how he can use this to stir up his base and gain in the polls. I wouldn’t be shocked if a group like the proud boys went to the protest to try and get where they go to tonight for that very reason. To take the eyes of the news off of Bill Barr’s boys and get FoxNews watchers all worked up about the racist stereotype that Black people only loot and are all criminals.

I suspect if the Chinese police were murdering Hong Kongers in the streets for a couple hundred years you'd maybe see something different.

You should draw a distinction because if there's anything that Republicans have taught us it's that protests don't work. The Rodney King protests didn't stop police brutality. The million man march didn't stop anything. The protests of the Iraq war didn't stop the war. The Eric Garner protests didn't stop police brutality. The BLM protests didn't stop police brutality. The Philando Castille protests didn't stop police brutality. Kaepernick kneeling didn't stop police brutality in fact that just emboldened racists even more starting with the President of the United States. The Ferguson protests didn't stop police brutality even after the DOJ presented all their evidence that Ferguson police were racist as hell.

So it's clear, protests don't work. Now burning your own neighborhood down won't work either but burning down neighborhoods of the wealthy and powerful, that may well work.

Rich old white men need to be afraid of the hoi polloi.

We can start with them just being afraid that the hoi polloi are coming to loot stores and hurt the quarterly statements of the stocks in portfolio this quarter, and down the line work up to them being afraid that the hoi polloi are coming with Madame Guillotine to take their heads.

    Baby Steps.
