Strange it says average per year is $22 million yet the salary-cap figures are: $14.1M, $19.4M, $21.1M, $21.75M. Not even 1 year at/over $22 mil. They must be anticipating deducting $5 for every false start he commits! Sounds about right.

So Tunsil is not overpaid? He's getting paid $6M more than the second highest paid player at his position and he's only been to one pro bowl. He's damn near getting paid QB money. Now, I do agree Texans had no choice.
3yr/$66mil extension on top of current year's $10mil that he's scheduled to make on his 5th year option is how you got that number. The Texans basically lost $4mil of capspace this offseason through this extension. Which is kinda ironic given their win-now attitude.
You do realize that the 5th year option was basically torn up they way the money was structured? He got a big signing bonus this year and his cap figure was structured over 4 years. Nice try though.
