This is the epitome of the dunning-kruger effect. He's too dumb to realize that any suggestion he might give to trained medical staff on how to treat viruses has already been discussed to rigorous death by actual experts. It's like someone who only has a high school diploma who has never taught themselves any math beyond Algebra suggesting to climate scientists that that they are missing the aspect of plants absorbing CO2 in their mathematical models.
In even the least competent of white houses, a spokesperson would have already been out walking back trump's statements, perhaps re-explaining what he might have meant. Instead, silence, with what will likely be someone supporting or defending what he said. We've seen Drs Fauci and Birx react at the moment. We know its indefensible and likely dangerous. And the first person (scientist, health professional) that they trot out there with semblance of a defending or supporting statement, risking their integrity if not career, throwing themselves on trump's hand grenade... should also be quickly ridiculed.
My gosh... this is the world we live in right now, to think caused by a president of the United States making a statement on a nightly press conference...
