The supply chains are intact people are just buying way more than usual. I give it a couple more weeks and things will hopefully even out. Doesn't hurt to have a firearm in these times, with our current leader we don't know what to expect down the road.
You should get one like yesterday, get to a range, and get comfortable shooting it. I've been pulling out my ammo cans from storage and cleaning my guns here recently. In Italy health care workers working with non-infected patients only get tested if coughing or fever because it is assumed they will get it. They are working with people who have it and this is a crisis. People in government who might have it need to be quarantined. RP being tested just saved a ton of new infections.
