OL not having talent is a false narrative. If you say they have poor coaching and a horrible offensive scheme thats the truth.

Lance on 97.5 said we should have gotten a first rounder minimum for Hopkins plus a 2nd rounder just for taking on Johnson's contract.

BOB is more worried about people practicing that performing on game day.

Brian Gaine knew this fool was crazy and had no clue how to build a team and he wasn't going for him wanting to trade assets for nothing.

good player that never was a reason his team won rings. He brought Gatorade to the court.

We cannot afford to give Hopkins a raise? Yet we can afford to give a broken down running back (Johnson) and a pedestrian receiver (Cobb) a total of $22,000,000 a year?

No O’Brien dealt Hopkins because he didn’t like him.

The Texans organization is a ******* joke from the owner to the management to the coaching staff.

Hmm....Hopkins would want 5 years, 110 million (based on what Cooper got). Look at the guarantees: $18 mill for Cobb. Hopkins would want $75 million in guarantees. Look, I don't like the trade. I don't like David Johnson. But with having to pay Watson and Tunsil, I understand they didn't want to redo a contract with 3 years left on the deal.

It is not this year or even next year. It is the 3rd year. Both Watson and Tunsil's extension will kick in. Cobb guaranteed money is $18 million. Hopkins would want around $75 million in guaranteed money. That is ALOT.

This is the heart of the issue.
The game is too big for them.. the moment too big. think about it ..the plan is to act around what hopkins would want down the line?

How is this a winning approach?

The idea is to field a team of middle tier low paid players no elite = would want aka too expensive.

Why would she date me when she will just 'want' someone else?

"Its just a business" and when viewed in that mindset they are the gold standard of asexual corporatism.

Having a bunch of brennan scarlett is easily moldable to be sure but its also killing any notion of "want" or "wins"

All for defense of that...its a strategy like any other. The reason why I dont like it is the philosophy has nothing to do with winning or even trying to pretend to win..

Its getting signable agreeable most importantly CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP

That might be fine too but the ticket and parking prices go up ..but the 'pay to play' and 'pay to win' is centered around drowning in a glass of water.

They are too cute for their own good and not good at it. At least daryl knows its about now too.

What exactly 3 - 4 years from are they so scared of?
Why are they always operating so scared - scared to do anything yet piss away duane brown or clowney? Guess what if you are in the nfl you have to pay. You need players ! Texans are amateurs. If they could field a team of min guys they would absolutely..

Watson deserves better and first time Ive wanted to see a good player go elsewhere out of sheer pity.

I see the Texans propaganda machine is in full spin mode trying to justify trading Hop.

This is 3 pro bowl players they have traded the past 4yrs and they got peanuts for each of them

Dwayne Brown because he pissed off Bob McNair when he put his foot in his mouth

Clowney because they franchised him and when he was holding out and about to report they put rumors out they were shopping him to the Dolphins and it pissed him off to the point where he wasn't going to show up unless he got traded.

Now you trade one of the best WR's in the game for a broke down RB on the same day where another team trades a WR who isn't near the player has Hopkins and they get 4 times as much in the deal.

They fired Brian Gaine because he didn't want to trade these guys and now BOB is just throwing money and picks away to acquire mediocre players and getting nothing for pro bowlers.

Yeah IDK why he doesn't just commit and wear a too-small cowboy hat, embrace it.

Also Bob McNair looked like Malcolm McDowell circa Lexx-

Can't walk it back, dude. You called Horry a scrub. How many clutch shots over the years? How rings does he have? He might not be an elite alpha, but would you rather be an elite alpha playing for Houston and Arizona or Horry with 7 rings? One could argue he's on a much higher level.

To digress....Horry would rather be Barkley. The article is from a number of years ago...

Turns out Horry would trade all those championships for the chance to be a superstar. Writes Le Batard: "Would you rather have your career or Charles Barkley's, Big Shot Bob? 'Barkley's,' Horry says. 'You want to win a championship, but you want to be considered one of the best of all time. All-Star. Hall of Fame. Even though I won championships, I'd take Charles' career."

Hmmm. Horry has more achievements, but u dont see anyone in the nba community putting his name as one of the greatest player to grace the courts. I dont think hes gonna get into hall of fame.

Hopkins career is still unknown but he trending hall of fame status. One could argued that hopkins is extremely skilled at his position, while horry is a clutch shooter and thats it.

Horry career stats are: 7 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.1 apg. Pretty scrub like numbers, in nba standards
