Should pay parking, set up a kickass tailgate, and stay there throughout the game while watching the Saints game on a big screen. Send a message.
Trade hopkins for jack sht in order to potentially resign tunsil (largest contact) who we gave up a sht ton for + watson contact. If watson or tunsil rejects us, just fire BoB. Cant even trust the fool to trade for good values.
This could go down as one of the worst trades in the history of professional sports, and you're not sure how you feel?
Homie...... Youre late to the party! That was page one when the news broke and all was known was that we traded for David Johnson with no details. Follow the rest of my posts in this thread and dont @ me or reply unless its going to be a "my bad".
The “experts” on ESPN said there was friction between Hopkins and BoB, and that Hopkins had quietly been shopped around the league since last season. Seems like BoB doesn’t want to deal with any player he views as a problem. I can’t think of another coach that is more unpopular with the fan base as BoB.
Hopkins coulda been our Larry Fitzgerald. He would have been a contributor for the next 10 years, and a potential career long Texan.
What do the water-carriers at 610 say? Has "the general" told us yet why this is a brilliant move that we couldn't possibly understand because we haven't been in a smoke-filled HOF voting room?
Michael Lombardi on Sports 610 was making interesting comments (he said Hopkins was available before last season). He says that since Hopkins is a VERY PRODUCTIVE POSSESSION WR, his value is misleading. The way Will Fuller affects the the offense is more valuable than Hopkins and teams were not giving up 1st round picks for a 3rd and 8 guy (who moves the sticks). Remember all the talk about Fuller in and out of the offense....and how different it looked? I don't agree with that, but I see his point. Since they couldn't pay Tunsil, Watson, and Hopkins (who wants a new deal), the decision was made to trade Hopkins. So, WR and Pass rusher in the 2nd round? I wouldn't have done it.......Bill O'Brien has a "spell" on Cal McNair, I guess......
They are roasting the move. However, Michael Lombardi come on and gave reasoning. See my other post...
PlAyErS lIkE O'bRiEn AnD pLaY hArD fOr HiM Cal: I WAS ENCOURAGED BY THE PROGRESS THAT OUR TEAM MADE ON THE FIELD THIS YEAR. I AM PROUD THAT WE PROVIDED OUR FANS WITH MANY THRILLING VICTORIES AT HOME, INCLUDING A PLAYOFF WIN, AND WE DELIVERED ANOTHER DOUBLE DIGIT WIN SEASON.
Reading the first page when people thought the trade was going to be for taking on a salary dump and then the transition to realizing they're trading Nuk was pretty hilarious. Really needed some levity in these trying sports times
