The water did magically shut down not too long ago lol. You never know if there will be a disruption in distribution, it's also panic shopping to beat panic shopping. If water is constantly sold out, and if you don't have a water filtration system, your stuck with drinking Houston tap water. Houston better pray we don't have a bad hurricane this year, flooding ****s the water, power goes out, people are forced to evacuate into shared areas. All around the time where the virus could be at peak in Houston. Recipe for getting proper ****ed.
Heard of a van that is loaded with weapons Packed up and ready to go Heard of some grave sites, out by the highway A place where nobody knows The sound of gunfire, off in the distance I'm getting used to it now Lived in a brownstone, lived in a ghetto I've lived all over this town This ain't no party, this ain't no disco This ain't no fooling around No time for dancing, or lovey dovey I ain't got time for that now Transmit the message, to the receiver Hope for an answer some day I got three passports, a couple of visas You don't even know my real name High on a hillside, the trucks are loading Everything's ready to roll I sleep in the daytime, I work in the nighttime I might not ever get home This ain't no party, this ain't no disco This ain't no fooling around This ain't no Mudd Club, or C. B. G. B. I ain't got time for that now Heard about Houston? Heard about Detroit? Heard about Pittsburgh, P. A.? You oughta know not to stand by the window Somebody see you up there I got some groceries, some peanut butter To last a couple of days But I ain't got no speakers, ain't got no headphones Ain't got no records to play Why stay in college? Why go to night school? Gonna be different this time Can't write a letter, can't send a postcard, I can't write nothing at all This ain't no party, this ain't no disco, This ain't no fooling around I'd like to kiss you, I'd love you hold you I ain't got no time for that now Trouble in transit, got through the roadblock we blended with the crowd We got computer, we're tapping phone lines I know that ain't allowed We dress like students, we dress like housewives or in a suit and a tie I changed my hairstyle, so many times now I don't know what I look like! You make me shiver, I feel so tender We make a pretty good team Don't get exhausted, I'll do some driving you ought to get some sleep Get you instructions, follow directions Then you should change your address Maybe tomorrow, maybe the next day whatever you think is best Burned all my notebooks, what good are Notebooks? They won't help me survive My chest is aching, burns like a furnace The burning keeps me alive Try to stay healthy, physical fitness Don't want to catch no disease Try to be careful, don't take no chances You better watch what you say
It shut down for a few hours due to a main break. Boiling was fine. That is the first time in my life this has happened. if people are concerned with having to drink tap water, buy a Brita pitcher on amazon. No need to have 27 cases of bottled water.
I told my wife there's probably going to be a lot of babies born 9 months or so from now, with everyone staying in. Could be the new baby boomer generation coming.
Bought 60 more buck shot rounds and a second pump action for the Mrs. Academy is worthless for Ammo fellas. Go to Dick's Also, my nectarines and limes are starting to show up on the trees i planted 3 years ago. nothing like a home garden to inspire confidence. If you have time plant a couple peppers in your backyard. They grow great and fast here.
Hurricane season is not for another few more months. It's likely the virus will be contained and managed by that time. Panic shoppers are preventing people from getting their regular supply of necessities. Get what you need for a few weeks. You don't need months of supplies while others have none.
Kansas City issues State of Emergency (5) order the closing of all retail and wholesale liquor stores, taverns and other places dispensing, serving or permitting the consumption of intoxicating liquor or nonintoxicating beer; (6) order the discontinuance of the sale, distribution or giving away of intoxicating or nonintoxicating liquors; (7) order the closing of all private clubs or portions thereof wherein the consumption of intoxicating liquor or nonintoxicating beer is permitted; https://www.kwch.com/content/news/Kansas-City-issues-State-of-Emergency-568742691.html And so it begins...
If you're willing to do guard duty, a couple of yall can come up here. "Here's your can of beans...here's your rifle."
ok, where can i find some ****ing toilet paper? this wouldn't be an issue if americans would use bidets.
You think this virus will be contained in a few months? Tha a highly, highly optimistic take. I think Houston will be booming in a few months. I think this thing is going to be around for over a year, and we haven't even begun to scratch the surface.
I would try places like Randall's (if it is close to other grocery stores as no one shops there), Dollar General or Fiesta. Just steer clear of inner-loop and suburb HEB and Krogers where people need to make sure they have at least 5 organic pomegranates to get through this period.
I was at the grocery store earlier. I have no idea why people are hoarding what they are hoarding. The store was out of eggs and white bread (still a couple of dozen loaves of the darker, healthier whole wheat though) but the frozen food was basically untouched. I saw one old lady with 8 cartons of eggs. How the **** are you going to eat that many eggs before they go bad? It's like people are just picking things out at random to horde.
You need chicken eggs to make a vaccine. Apparently, there’s a recipe trending. You can also make a buttload of righteous brownies with that. Or Easter Egg coloring, while you’re bored in self-quarantine. Make quiche with the spent insides, and freeze.
