Lets be honest here - why on earth do we care at all what any European leader has to say on this matter - this is about protecting America and its citizens - Euro's and everyone else can stay across the pond until this is over.

If I had any complaints about the travel ban , its that it isn't complete in that it doesn't ban travel from the UK and everywhere else while we're at it - and it could have been done much sooner.

Then again , two weeks ago , I don't believe any of us really thought this thing had the potential to spread as rapidly as it has. It was happening on the other side of the planet in some insignificant province of China.

We've never experienced anything like this in my lifetime ... there have been a few viral outbreaks but none that are as transmitable as this and other than SARS over a decade ago (8 cases) , none of them got into the US , they were isolated in Africa or Asia for the most part.

I know you guys all hate Trump - but damn all the finger pointing and blaming of political figures is .... silly. You guys will politicize anything and everything.

Why should we care what out most important allies think while we act unilaterally on a global health crisis? Seriously?

After watching Rachel Maddow last night, I’m shocked that I woke up alive today.

It would help if we didn't have a babbling buffoon as President.

A functioning, intelligent adult in charge would make a difference.

Pence says there's been 'irresponsible rhetoric' from people downplaying coronavirus
Trump said Monday that the “fake news media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything to inflame the coronavirus situation.”

There is no cure, not just for the virus but the situation. People need to know dramatic action is being taken. A two week lockdown is ripping a bandage off - it hurts but gets it over with. Months of disruption is far far worse.

We need as a society make changes that allow us to operate for the next year in the given environment - which is to stop the spread of the disease to people while finding a way for people to work and survive.

Right now the country is in panic. People know that the gov't isn't on top of this and no one is sure what is going to happen. Leadership must say, "he is how this is going to play out, and he here is how we are going to protect you and help you keep food on the table and the lights on"

Conservatives were alarmists too in the beginning. It's just when Trump saw this as a risk to his re-election did he downplay it and conservatives followed.

You think it's liberals who are panicking in the stock market and all over the world? Dude, this is a serious **** and people are legitimately concerned.

What use is a travel ban? Most of the way the virus got here was Americans returning from Europe not sick Europeans visiting us. Would not it make more sense to just screen every person who enters the country with a test???? That way you don't kill all travel and yet still protect the country?

No need to be alarmist this virus isn't a national disaster more like those annoying speed bumps they randomly put on neighborhood streets. Trump should have come out with the big guns from the start and had Jared handle this situation.

Viruses mutate within your body - and when you are infected by a common cold it probably mutates in your body. Yet from your bodies perspective it's still one strain.

We don't know if your body sees it as one infection or two. Because even though the researchers detected two different genomes that doesn't mean it's a different strain where your body doesn't develop immunity to both

I don't see anything on that. They say you can still test positive after an infection but that's not a reinfection. I think you are confused.

Apparently he is livid because he wanted to do his press conference dressed like a doctor and his handlers wouldn't let him.

He is blaming the spread of the virus on his handlers stopping him..... he told James Woods he may need his help soon.

Doesn't the President have the option to suspend trading on the stock market during "national emergency". I know this a "slow moving one" but wouldn't it have been prudent to do that today after Trump's National address for at least a day?
