I think our team would perform better to play in an empty arena since Toyota Center is always pretty empty during games.

would be nice to get harden/tucker some rest. a hiatus would probably benefit us more than any other team in the league

I think you have to play to no fans. Hiatus doesn’t make much sense.

according to experts this is going to get worse for 6-8 months before it gets better. this season could seriously get canceled

100% this. A suspended season ****s with venue scheduling too much & opens door for canceling season.

Rockets have been playing with no fans at the Toyota Center for a decade.

which experts? cases of infection are already declining in both china and south korea. and as weather warms up and days get sunnier, the virus becomes less stable

If you go to hiatus, you might as well cancel the season. This thing is not gonna end soon.

Put a screen around the court with crowd/people images on the screen and pipe in crowd noise/music like
they do with sitcoms (to bring a little sense of regularity to players on the court). Edited: within an empty arena.

Keep playing ball until players get sick.....if they get sick.

again, who are your experts and what is the source for the 6-8 months timeline you've cited?

regarding china, they are opening up their quarantines -- that is actual action, not words. regarding south korea, they are meticulous AF w/ their data on this. regarding the virus becoming less stable in the warmer months, this is basic common sense -- the "flu season" is always during the colder months

This is weird, but damned if it doesn't look like “it’s happening” ... these are truly bizarre and troubling times

What you're saying could be true, but that assumes that Covin-19 doesn't mutate. While the Corona virus and influenza are two different viruses, both can mutate. For example, the deadly Spanish Flu (1918) was one of the most deadly epidemics in its first phase. After the first warm weather passed, it became much more lethal once it mutated in the second wave which killed many millions.
