Nah it’s not. There 0 reason that this team looked the way they did vs the likes of Utah, lakers Boston and look like this now. Something happened
In tough times like this I like to remind myself the Rockets are not a part of my family. Rocket embarrassing themselves and the critics sh-ting all over them should not affect me because I don't know them and they don't know me.
That's not it. Maybe its that MDA still likes to play 7 guys and guys get tired and their legs get dead, but small ball isn't the reason they are losing games. Shooting poorly and playing with 0 care is the reason. This same time was just running through teams last month.
Didn't bother to watch this game because I thought it be a snoozer... LOL leave it to the Rockets to be getting blown out by the Magic. Has a team with two of the last 3 or even 4 MVP on the same team ever been this embarrassingly disappointing?
I'd say this team has Player Only meeting written all over it but frankly I don't think they care that much.
The Rockets’ issues go beyond X’s and O’s. The starters aren’t contesting open shots and sometimes not even getting out to wide open shooters. You don’t go from beating one of the best teams in the league (Boston) on the road to looking like a group of scrubs the very next week. They’ve allowed 105 points to the Magic in three quarters. That’s an effort problem.
Even though Russ had a great stretch, CP3 was a far better fit. We could have used assets to reload around the team that nearly beat GSW twice. I don’t understand why we had to make such a drastic decision for coming up short against a historic team that no one else could even compete with. We took them to game 7 and game 6. Instead of hanging our heads and overreacting we should have patched up some holes and thought we were better than everyone except GSW and now they are out of the way. Instead we go and salvage our future to get a guy who cant shoot for sh*t. Ownership and Management totally screwed this up. The irony is OKC is looking quite pretty and CP3 is having a great effing year...
We seriously can't keep playing this small ball when we've just lost to teams like the Knicks, the Hornets and the Magic..... all horrible teams. We should have lost to the Celtics. When you clog the paint and let us shoot, it forces us to take an open shot.... an open shot that our players are passing up on.
