Boston does have some softies, though. Kanter is soft, Hayward is soft, Tatum is pretty soft. Theiss is soft. I think they were missing the competitiveness and playmaking of Kemba Walker a lot.

Yeah, many thanks to @J.R. for posting it past the paywall. Last night in Boston is why we love the game. There were quotes calling it a "playoff atmosphere," and it sure as hell was. Just a war, start to finish. Russ is playing his best basketball, PJ has to be an All NBA defender, finally. James didn't have his best game, but he sure showed up on defense. Covington was all over the court. He's had more of an impact than I expected. Eric needs a long stretch of being healthy, so he can give us what we need from him. The role players played their roles.

What's a trip is that we can play better.

Kemba makes the Celtics better offensively, but worse defensively.

More Kemba means less Smart, and that’s an advantage for the Rockets.

Maybe. I think those guys together with less Hayward and Theiss is better to matchup with the Rockets.

Everytime a Rocket drove in and got hit with no call late in the game made 'softness' a moot point.

anyone know what exactly harden/pringles were arguing w/ the zebra on harden's last foul call?

this was on a boston fastbreak and it looked like a moving screen through the lane that kept harden from being able to guard tatum cleanly

    @heypartner ?

They called Harden for shooting foul on Tatum, when Harden didn’t touch Tatum, rather Tatum was fouled by his own player. So, I suppose Harden was called for shoving Theis into Tatum.

Looks like incidental contact by both players, so no call with Tatum bumping into his own player.

Here’s the vid. Listen to whistle. It was before shot.

btw: House and WB have no business watching that 3. Just retreat, given time on clock at 5pt lead.

If the foul was him pushing Theis into Tatum
Then why did Tatum shoot the shots?

The foul was a shooting foul of Harden on Tatum. That, you can look up on PbP.

You can foul a shooter by pushing a player into them. Not to say Harden did, just answering the question about what MDA and Harden were mad about.

We had like a super long thread about that type of shooting foul, last year.

    thanks

so i rewatched 5x and still can't really figure out what happened. theis may have grabbed harden with both hands, or he was grabbed by harden. but in any case still seems to me like a moving screen even before the contact between both celtic players

House was no show until 4th, so timid on offense and just tad late on defense.

Take a look at the response from 99% of this board to your post history and you will pretty easily see.

Or maybe you won't. I don't know. You'll probably continue to play dumb. So be it!
