Cuz Morris didnt want to be traded to a garbage team. Rox didnt trade Morris away for his benefit, they did it to make room for Thomas Robinson, compounding the mistake they made passing on Kawhi and starting the disastrous chain of events that led to them overpaying for Anderson cuz they got rid of their drafted Stretch Pfs (Landry, Patterson, Morris) for busts like Robinson, Squid and Thabeet. My guess is looking at Morris everyday kept reminding Morey of his worst draft mistake ever so he had to get rid of him even if Morris was actually showing promise as a serviceable role player.
And there is the end of this story. I think we are good with what he have now. You add him into this mix and it could mess with chemistry we building now. He is a player that would want his touches. RoCo, Green, and Carroll all seem like they are team guys and are willing to play off James and Russ. I would like his toughness, but I think we good on that.
Markieff was a Laker this morning... I was espn.com and they already had him on the Lakers depth chart.
You don’t claim him unless you know for a fact he wants to come here ... and he prolly has to want to come here more than LA don’t want any negative vibes in the lockeroom. I suppose you could claim him and keep him till after the March deadline lmao . anything we do that hurts a player can hurt our reputation with other players around the league.
Whether or not it was a good move on the rockets part really has nothing to do with my post you quoted. I only commented on Morris being upset with the trade. I believe he even cried tears of joy because he was reunited with his brother at the time of the trade. They both expressed happiness of being back together. Never heard anything about either twin having negative things to say about the Rockets organization. Maybe they had and I missed it, but until then I'm not just gonna take a random name on the internets word for it.
Was never going to happen. Too much baggage. https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/20...ing-rockets-pass-on-claiming-markieff-morris/
