His supporters totally don't mind an imperial monarchy as long as it's their guy. I like to think I wouldn't like that if it was "my guy" or gal. But being a human, I'm sure I wouldn't be as upset as I am now.
Well, it's not on the home page, but right now it is the second story on their Politics section. Here's the article: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/do...es-extreme-sentencing-recommendation-official
I was a little disappointed that Obama couldn't have a third term while I was looking at the options before us in 2016. But, of course, if he somehow tried to finagle an actual third term, I'd be outraged. That may be the same way with Trump supporters -- somehow loving this Administration so much, but implicitly because they don't believe Trump really would abuse his power to extend his presidency beyond the term limit.
This is how I feel I think at some point it's too much and even they will feel suckered. Don't think they will vote against him but they can lose enthusiasm to go out and vote. Trump can't help himself.
His supporters love it - they don't care if the guy is corrupt or not, what's important is they are sticking it to everyone else.
Prominently (with photo and blurb) the lead story right now at cnn.com, abcnews.com, nytimes.com, washingtonpost.com. Second billing at cbsnews.com, nbcnews.com, google news, WSJ.com, and The Federalist (headline: "Mueller Prosecutors May Have Lied To DOJ About Stone Prison Sentence Recommendation"). It gets a very small footprint for just the headline on MSNBC's homepage, yahoo news, the Daily Caller, Drudge Report. In the "World" section at OAN. Nowhere to be found on breitbart.com, CNS News, Conservative Review. Not even when using their search function. Not trying to argue anything. Your post made me curious about the editorial decisions of various newspapers of various political persuasions.
Judges need to order Barr to appear personally to explain the DOJ filings, which he is ultimately accountable for. BTW - this is an impeachable act - another one.
Oh, I've done that: checked FAUX News for stories I see elsewhere first (i.e., on real news not controlled by the State). When Parnas and, uh, Igor were arrested, it was right at the top on CNN's site. On FAUX, you had to scroll down the page to find the link, below links for muscle cars and blondes with fake boobs and whatnot. Banana Republic with money, that's what we are. How long before the caporegimi round up Bill Maher, Stephen Colbert, and Lawrence O'Donnell and drive them out to the dig their own holes in the desert?
