Too early. Wait for other teams to do it.

Plays 4/5, perfect for Rockets. Long and bouncy.

Jonah Bolden and MKG are the best additions to this team.

    1) They are relatively young.

    A) Bolden at 24.

    B) MKG at 26

    2) They can both switch everything.

    3) they can both play center in this system

    4) neither of them is currently playing big minutes so they wouldn't necessarily need a huge commitment.
    A) someone like Bobby Portis or even Mo Harkless is going to want big minutes to earn their next contract if they are bought out, I wouldn't be shocked to see them stay in NY to boost value, the style we are playing right now is great and our rotation had 9 players last night, there is maybe 20 total minutes up for the taking.

    5) They are both long and athletic, building onto what we are doing.

    6) they are both completely undervalued.

    7) they both would be reasonably easy to retain next year.
    A) Bolden has an insane 3 years left at the minimum (his agent should be ashamed)
    B) MKG, even if he completely breaks out and becomes this years LMM, he wouldn't cost more than the MLE, which we will have.

Seriously, if we need a big body to throw at someone use Chandler and Hartenstein, and if those guys aren't good enough to provide spot minutes then they should be waived. We need to add players that fit our style not go out and try to appeal to the general wisdom of needing big men who can play big minutes.

The Rockets aren't signing a guy that can't shoot worth a **** like Gilchrist. There is a reason Capela was traded for a guy that can help spread the floor. Bolden, Portis, O'Quinn are all in the category of at least a threat to create space.

There is a reason why the Lakers played their C's 20 minutes combined last night, and had to move Davis there for 40 minutes. The Rockets best lineup in the Harden era was Paul, Harden, Ariza, Tucker, and Moute. They found a Ariza replacement in Covington. Need to find the Moute replacement. Though I would like to see them play Hartenstrein and play him 4-6 minutes to start each half.

I can't wait to see who Morey will get in the buyout market. We obviously have plenty of guards. Need a couple of serviceable forwards that would fit this new style of play. Almost all the names mentioned in this thread would fit the bill.

Rockets have been interested in MKG for a long time and will be aggressively trying to get him if bought out.

MKG has been shooting 42% from 3 the last 4 games.

The Rockets coveted Andre Iguodala just a few days ago. You take a flier on MKG and hope he can start hitting shots. Just last year he hit 34% from three albeit while only taking about 1 a game.

There is a value to what you say about MKG.

The view is that he cannot shoot. The fact is even being a threat to shoot is better than someone like Capela in this situation who has 0 chance of taking a shot. Let them leave him wide open and see if he can hit a few. Andre Iguodala did when it mattered it's why we were beat last year in 6.

MKG He proved last year that he could hit them, albeit not at a big rate. This year he's shooting 30% taking 1.5 in only 12 appearances. You may say... but why can't MKG find minutes on a mediocre Charlotte team? That mediocre Charlotte team knows that he doesn't fit their window of being a playoff team and they are developing other people. Wrong place, wrong time, just like Bruno in Memphis this year and Bolden being in Philly behind 15 other PF/C type guys.

I'm not saying bring in MKG as a game changing player. I'm saying bring in a guy who has played ELITE defense at an NBA level and was drafted #2. I'm saying bring him in as a guy who doesn't need minutes. This isn't NBA 2k, players who play minutes are most likely going to want minutes here so they can build their value. We don't have a ton of minutes to go around as is.

Maybe y'all are right. Moute wasn't a great shooter either, but flourished with the space that Harden/Paul got him. It could work out. He would definitely be the same mold as Moute. Wtf, do it. Nothing to lose really.

MKG also gives Rockets options if Tucker signs elsewhere next season. Tucker's value will go thru the roof next season, especially if Rockets win a chip.

Think Ariza and his $15M offer that Tilly refused to match.

MKG would be Luc for our defense.

    Tucker- Covington-MKG > Ariza-Luc-Tucker

Our switch D would be ELITE and able to lockdown even Kawhi, PG and Marcus.

Recall how good we were vs. AD and Lebron. Now add in MKG, the clamps would be ridiculous.

CF needs to broaden their minds and throw out the position labels.

    It's an EVOLUTION brothers!

    Tucker isn't a FA!

    He has one year left.

All of our important rotation players are under contract next year except Austin.

    Marvin Williams (Stretch 4, career 36% 3P%, 55%TS, 33Yr, 6'8 PF, careful with ball)
KOQ (Pesky defender, play with passion. Bigger body 4/5, O = 0 though)
    Bolden (Young project, friendly contract)
Wayne Ellington (Unknown possibility, DM interested before)
TT (Frankly unlikely at this moment)
