Rockets are definitely a better team, but are they a contender? Don't know, but they are for the first time this year, intriguing to watch
Covington is a much better player than I thought . Tall,quick hands,good decision maker,get open shot easily,everything.
****ing satisfying win. Had my eyes glued to the TV every minute. I was super excited and intrigued to see how things would work out. I also love the fact that everyone was hating on us too. I don't want to be a dull, boring, predictable team. I'd rather be a fun, unique, and exciting team like we are right now. Let the haters talk smack all they want and hopefully they eat some crow!
The Rockets are the most compelling team in professional sports. They are must see TV. They have two of the most polarizing superstars in sports who are both former MVPs and first ballot HOFers, both of whom are absolutely unique. They have the most unorthodox play style in the NBA, doing several things (volume of threes, small lineup, amount of isolation ball) that have never been done by a winning team on a consistent basis. The most aggressive and creative coach and front office in the game today. Crazy good time to be a Rockets fan.
We needed this win way more than they did. It was the first step to legitimize this style of play and show ourselves, more than anyone else, the fact that it could work. It doesn't mean that it will continue to work, or that the Clippers won't be much better positioned to counter it, but for the time being this win will go a long way to boosting our faith in our unprecedented style of play.
Harden had a defensive possession against ADavis that was amazing. AD scored on the play, but Harden literally pushed him out of the lane and made him shoot a contested jump shot from the free throw line when AD was trying to get inside. Harden is an amazing post defender (as we all know) but he impossed his WILL on AD on that play.
It’s not the size that matters it’s the motion in the ocean. You can have 6 inch dick and **** better than a lame 9 inch soft dick.
Defendively, Harden was very good in the 4th quarter. Besides post d, he kept an eye on Danny Green, who never got an open shot during that period.
Still not sold. What happens when westbrook is not on and he keeps shooting and shoot you right out the game.
With the current "smallball theme" when teams choose to double Harden he can defer to Westbrook like tonight. When teams don't double Harden can destroy 1on1. I think the real test will be vs the clips. Covington and Thabo I have to say looked very good out there switching on defense.
