It's like we all already knew it was gonna happen deep down inside but just held out hope nonetheless.
I was naive in thinking it would be for a player with a salary higher than $5 million (e.g. Thomas Bryant). I think it'll be a cheap big like O'Quinn or Wood but Morey is wanting to add another wing player.
Would House + IHart + 3 second rounders + 2022 FRP for Kennard + Wood (expiring maybe hard to retain) + Kieff Morris (expiring) worth it? we definitely get better for the year but I'm not sure if we do beyond that. it also keeps us under the tax.
Rumors/reports are that the Pistons want a FRP for Kennard and Morris, each. Supply and demand man.......
I don't know...Kennard is better then House all thing considered, Wood as today is probably better then Hart but Hart has much more upside. House, 1st rounder and three 2nd i feel like would be too much, even if you add Kieff, but that's just me. Maybe you take out of the deal one between House and Hartenstein i could see it as a fair deal, but personally, i think i'd rather use the last 1st rounder we have for the bigger need we have which is a center, imo at least.
Kennard was rumored to be a target by multiple guys on here. He is definitely worth a FRP elsewhere but I'm not sure he fits here. He averages 16 PPG. It would definitely allow us to trade Eric to help recoup some picks this off season. A 2022 FRP is risky because that is the first year of high school players and will be stacked. It's the best FRP we have and there is a reason it's the only one we have. Morey knows. Kieff is worth a second rounder. Wood is worth two second rounders and not more due to the fact that he's going to be very hard to retain.
