They are trying to get a center back as well. Possibly Looney or if Denver, Hernangomez. Could still be in on John Collins as well.

Any NBA team that is thinking of trading for Clint already knows about his advanced stats. They probably think in their system they'd get a different result.

Me too. But after reading the following, especially the last part, I think that might be it...

    https://bleacherreport.com/articles...re-in-deep-talks-for-4-team-clint-capela-deal

“Covington would be the ideal fit as a three-and-D player who can help on both ends of the court. The 29-year-old has averaged 12.8 points per game while knocking down 34.6 percent of his three-pointers this year, which would give Houston a potential third scoring option behind James Harden and Russell Westbrook.

His perimeter defense could also help improve the No. 15 defense in efficiency this season, per Basketball Reference.

The forward is also making $5 million less than Capela in 2019-20 and is only owed $25 million over the next two years, helping the squad save money to potentially get under the salary cap.”

It boggles the mind that people think Clint is some sort of game changing super stud. Clint Capela for Robert Covington is about as fair as trades get.

Rock solid role players. That’s it.

my guess is Malik Beasley goes to a team in the deal. He is out of the rotation in Denver and expandable

I'm not sure Covington is an ELITE defender, but this logic is sound. This is why I'm cool with the trade. The asset allocation is better.

That Hernangomez is in Charlotte though, the one in Denver is a small forward ;)

Too good to be true bro...you could also cut out Bell and Vonleh, getting Collins and Covington would be alreay incredible, that's why it's not happening lol.

Daryl should really sell the farm if he can also get Collins here, but i doubt he's even on the table.

Cause he can play the stretch 4 in small ball lineups, but yeah, he's a 3, Willy, his brother is a center.

i hope he doesnt jack them up the way he did in philly. if we get this guy all i really hope is we get more stops/force more turnovers to turn defense to offense. offensively he is limited so hopefully he doesnt get under Mike D and think its time to act like hes klay thompson.

what is his corner 3pt % ? anyone know ?
