Rob's contract is definitely good for today's standards, however look at this. Covington (age 29) contract: 2020-21: 12M 2021-22: 13M Capela (age 25) contract: 2020-21: 16M 2021-22: 17M 2022-23: 18M All things considered, i think Capela's contract is better.
Considering that Clint is damn near unplayable in the playoffs when Westbrook and Harden are in the game together, I will happily take Rob's contract, personally.
Let's assume GS is the 4th team included in the deal. Woj said GS wants to shed even more salary aside from D'Lo and added that Wiggins has to be included in any deal. It would take some next level mathematics to check off those points as well as satisfy every team.
If we're dealing with Minny for Covington might as well see if they'll throw in jordan bell or vonleh. That could be our "wing and big"
he basically is when you can't have two floor spacers next to harden on the floor together. or if you want to say wb is unplayable. that would apply too in the same context. it's either or.
Marcus Morris wouldn't be terribly exciting, but god damn he would fit this team perfectly. Morris twins added to Westbrook, James, Gordon and Tucker...
Go get Marcus without moving Capela and multiple picks instead of Covington...oh wait, we still have to trade Capela cause we don't have the contracts to match otherwise. SMDH.
