his apology is in this link also https://www.thedailybeast.com/kobe-...ce-the-accusers-story-and-the-half-confession
I'm with you on the "he wasn't a pure innocent family man" and think the rape thing is serious, but this really isn't the place or time for that. Wait for the news to sink in and let people mourn for their favourite athlete and an idol they grew up with it. No one is in the mood to debate this topic just hours after he died.
That would be cool, but what a sh*t show that would cause. Especially this year with everyone so bunched up.
Whatever his past was, by all accounts he was beloved by his fans, peers, friends, children, and apparently also his wife. I don’t get the impulse of tearing down someone in death, particularly when operating on incomplete information. At least let the emotions settle down somewhat during this period of mourning. It’s not like this is the last chance for it (the adultery, possible rape) to be brought up. That will be part of his life story, and it’s not going anywhere.
Look, I have been a certified Kobe hater all his career. I honestly won't shed a tear now. But you don't rag on a guy's dirty laundry in his death. That's just commonsense human decency. This is especially true when it also involves the death of his child.
This is why those who can't forgive need to temporarily turn off the brain and be silent. Out of respect. Please. Thank you
Feel bad for the wife and surviving kids. No matter how blessed they are, losing a father/husband and young daughter/sister must be devastating.
Sticky this! They know they are wrong, but ego won’t allow them to acknowledge it. Internet has ruined awareness, this is so inappropriate.
No. Respect? He didn't commit a victimless crime. There is a woman out there who suffered due to his actions. What respect? Because he could score the ball?
Don't fly Choppers. I would have more faith in a teenage Asian female driver driving me somewhere than in a helicopter.
I came to CF just to extend my condolences, and saw the beef forum had with malakas. Having read an article about Derick Rose a couple of days ago and how we can forget sins of famous people we like, I spent a good amount of time thinking about how I feel about Rose, Bryant… and then this happens. Damn. I don't know what to think. I wish Kobe was still alive. Not because I like him (I don't), but because I don't wish this to happen to anybody.
Aren’t you the poster that said you would hit a female poster for saying a rapist isn’t a good man? You have no room to be talking about what is and isn’t appropriate.
Back to the kitchen. Grown men are crying. Don't @ me Edit. 2.5 mil probably set her up for life. Get out of ur feelings. Seriously. Otherwise I'll ignore
RIP to one of the greatest. Crazy hearing this news and a day after the basketball world was all-Kobe. Must have been terrifying for them. Some people just don't have that kind of decency and want the attention. Not surprising considering who it came from.
