It does reek of an innocent man's approach, no? "This is a HOAX, but just in case you are confused by the hoaxus-pocus, um... there will be HELL TOUPE if you go and cross me!"
It’s in the process and I’m looking forward to 5.0. If you condemn Trump for wanting corruption looked into then at least acknowledge the corruption. “How many members of the body have children on foreign boards making this kind of money?”
is humor allowed in this thread? asking for a friend https://thefederalist.com/2020/01/24/5-perfect-ways-to-celebrate-trumps-inevitable-acquittal/
Being corrupt to “root out corruption “ doesn’t really speak to me.... How many children and children in laws did Trump put into positions of power? How many were given security clearances? What’s going on with Jared Kushner and Saudi Arabia? Come on man...
'Take her out': Recording appears to capture Trump at private dinner saying he wants Ukraine ambassador fired Trump apparently heard discussing firing Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/rec...e-dinner-ukraine-ambassador/story?id=68506437
Why is it a big deal if Trump wants to fire an ambassador? I mean, we already knew this, and he is free to fire ambassadors. Badmouth them? Say threatening things about them? That's less good and more suspicious when taken in context. But tape of him saying he wanted her out isn't really revelatory, is it?
It’s just a piece of the story that shows how involved trump was. Remember Trump tries to distance himself after events come to light.
Perhaps. Should be introduced as evidence and have testimony about it. Interesting the tape was made by igor fruman and lev parnas is on the tape talking with trump. Didn't trump say he didn't know parnas and never spoke with him? Hmm....
In name of fighting corruption in Ukraine, Trump fired the Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch who was tough on corruption since the Yuriy Lutsenko, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General, was corrupt AF but who was willing to work with Trump to manufacture evidence against Biden to help the Trump 2020 campaign, IF Trump got Marie Yovanovitch off his back.
And interesting the two russian gangsters, er, businessmen were the ones telling trump the ambassador had been "badmouthing" trump, resulting in trump getting mad and yelling "take her out".
Good points everybody. I guess I don't see it as a huge deal but probably b/c it just fits the (obvious) pattern of evidence we already have.
Somebody should tell CNN/MSNBC that the president is speaking at the March for Life right now. The impeachment thingee isnt currently in progress.
You guys keep thinking more/better evidence will sway Republicans to vote for impeachment. I'm a little baffled. You arent even going to sway voters because half the country has their news feed curated and edited by the same people who wouldn't impeach even if they had a sworn deposition from Trump admitting guilt.
republican senators rushing to get the cover-up faux trial over... because "there will be new evidence every day"...
I agree. Trump is free to fire an ambassador. The real relevance of any of it is Trump lying about who he was talking with, him openly engaging in and working with corrupt foreign actors despite his claim that he was concerned with stamping out corruption.
Pattern? Sure... Trump says he doesn’t know Parnas, but here he is discussing getting rid of Yovanovitch with him. it’s crazy to me (not you B-Bob) what we just let slide by with Trump because he lies so damn often.
Good point. Trump is actually helped by the number of lies that he tells. If another politician says something that isn't accurate like Warren and her heritage comments, that label sticks and does damage to her. Trump lies so often that when they paint him with one lie there are already other ones being painted on so the label doesn't stick.
