Al Faruq will be out probably until the end or near the end of season. MEM likes having good vets around their young guys and are currently in the 8th seed. The only way you get Crowder is with a 1RDP
Rather give up Tyson than Harty, especially with Clint injured heel. So if Harty has to be included then at least sign Kenny Wooten to 10 day as insurance. Rockets certainly have the roster room with with 4 players outgoing and only 2 coming in.
Getting rid of Tucker is not the answer. Upgrading his spot so Tucker coming off bench is better solution. Remember the 3/4 rotation of Ariza/Luc/Tucker? Replacing Bzdelik with Turner also not getting enough attention.
I don't understand that trade at all for the Rockets. We actually get worse at Center and get a guard who won't see minutes. We also get Iggy but even he doesn't look like he'll move the needle for the Rockets. Unless Robinson turns into an all-star, I don't see the upside. I think he needs more time to develop which we don't have, and he may never be as good as Capela.
House, Nene, 2020 FRP, Grizzlies SRP and $2 Million to Philly Thybulle and Bolden incoming Philly has to clear a spot for Pelle. We pay for Nenes buyout, give the sixers picks for subsequent trades and give them a flyer on a guy who can create his own shot. The Rockets save $2 million on the books and get some young depth.
Trade 1 Russ House for Drummond R.Rose Snell Trade 2 Capela Nene for Bertrans Wagner Thomas Bryant New Lineup Harden / DRose / Rivers Gordon / Rivers / McLemore Tucker / McLemore / Harden Betrans / Wagner / Tucker Drummond / Hartenstein .... Not really a better team, but a different team, lol...
Rockets get in on Drummond going to NYK and snag Morris and Bullock. Rockets would have to offer up picks to help grease the wheels on the larger trade but it’s a way for them to get two good bench players.
Capela may be the one that needs to be traded. Only player and contract that can bring in some depth.
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=tq5qzoe Decent depth. We would have to outbid Philly for Kennard. Morris can spell PJ. Wood adds depth to our front line.
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=vfovkrq Maybe something like this works: Rockets In: Tim Frazier Markieff Morris Brandon Clarke Detroit In: Nene Sefolosha Draft picks Memphis In: House draft pick or stashed player
