I guess I'll keep it simple: THANK YOU! Thank you for all you did. Thank you for what you built. THANK YOU. And one last "Hinched" photo All the best gentlemen.
Best at their respective jobs at the time they came to this team. We were lucky to see timing, circumstance, and talent come together with these guys on our team. Will cross my fingers that they're back with the org at some point down the road!
Sad day. They're the only ones to bring a championship to my favorite teams. I'll forever be grateful. I wish them all the best. * I could care less to the people who will say it's tainted.
He’s going to become the Red Sox manager after they fire Cora and wait the year out. Sick to my stomach....dammit Jim, what did you do?!?
End of the best era in Houston baseball and the best there will ever be. Luhnow was a disruptor that changed the game in a way that every other team tries to emulate. Everything from analytics, shifting, to leveraging draft salary slotting to lock in more talent. You don't find special gm's like that often and if you do, you do everything possible to keep them here. Crane blew it by firing him, and now the Astros will be back to their usual place in baseball irrelevance.
Luhnow was the huge loss of the two. Hinch was a good manager but not of the level Luhnow was as a GM.
Can’t thank these guys enough for everything they did for this team. 2017-2019 following the Astros have been close to the most enjoyable sporting experience of my life and that’s coming from someone who lives on the other side of the world and wasn’t able to get to a game live during that time.
This had to be arranged by Manfred and the owners, i.e., we'll let you keep the 2017 title but these two gotta go. Makes sense to me since Manfred technically cannot fire an Astros employee, looks better if the Astros do it themselves. I don't think Crane is that dumb to act out alone on this. He had to have been pressured to save the chip! That's my theory and I'm going with it! GO STROS!!!
