We had to clear a roster spot to add any free agents, Thabo and Nene make more money than Clark and are guaranteed.On paper, this is an excusable move. If this were any other owner there would be nothing to complain about. But we all know he's gonna try to weasel his way under the tax again even if he has to burn a 1st round pick to do it, don't think this particular moves plays into it though.

Assets? I’m sure they called around a out Clark before they released. I know fans tend to over value young players but a lot of you guys need to cut it out. You got guys on the wire like Jeff Green, Jonathon Simmons etc that can easily replace Clark.
I was rooting for GC but dude looked like he didn't belong out there. He looked like he was afraid to mess up. If we potentially can sign him back and explore some other options, this is a good move. Tilman is still cheap.
Too much focus on the finances of the team perhaps? The Rockets are still a good basketball team without Gary Clark believe it or not. They're still worth watching for most fans of the team. Crazy, right?
This is a tough one for me, because personally I'm not a huge fan. He's either hitting threes, or not. Otherwise... meh. Generally it seems the wise move to me. Contract becomes guaranteed, so free up the roster spot. On the other hand, I might not be a huge fan, but he had been starting to get minutes here and there more consistently. On the whole, I think it will be a move that doesn't really matter one way or the other.
SMH. Clark is solid, 3&D player with some size, has shown flashes of being a competent role player many times. Is it possible to sign him to a 2-way deal?
Tilman is a bad person. Trust me. If his baggage came out, it wouldn’t be pretty. It’s nothing to do with one move in a vacuum. I’ll always love this team but I’m not renewing season tickets with him here.
