And, he's at his best against the best. Its a beautiful thing to behold, and bodes well for our Rockets.
No. He needs to do it consistantly against top tier centers. Plus Kevon Looney and Draymond will be back in 2021 playoffs. He also needs to score on his own a wee bit more. He is playing well though.
I'm just glad he doesn't have to see Draymond in the playoffs this year. He seems to struggle against him. Everyone else, he does a good job of owning the match ups. Gobert, KAT, Jokic, etc he has done great against.
Yeah, Draymond might be just a bad match up for him (and tbh, he is for a lot of players, stars included), but i mean, that's probably...normal? Even an MVP caliber player like James had problems in some specific match ups, think about Roberson...expecting Capela to be great/dominant in every single match up is just asking too much to him, he's not Hakeem. Btw i agree with who says he's not an all star caliber player. If for all star we mean a guy that can make the all star maybe yeah then, afterall even DeAndre made it at least once (if i'm not wrong).
Let's not be prisoner of the moment, OP. Clint was locked in last night against Embiid. That's all. Wanted to show out for Hakeem and ESPN, and wanted to show out against Embiid. Capela can easily be a 20+ ppg guy, but he's just not consistent enough, even with 2 of the best playmaking guards in the game.
im guessing u aint watched clint this year. n seen where his progress will lead him just this year...let along a year from now. people pay attention. why has clint had a hard time agaimst those guys? u do know he is addressing those. his passing is leaps n bounds. n also his hook n ability to acfual produce offense without a lob is leaps n bounds u do know the reason he struggled against those guys is because they are really good guarding tge lob right. its like people dont know basketball. u see him doing moves now...thanks to westbrooke demanding he do things other then just lobs.
nah, let’s not go overboard please Clint is far too dependent on Harden for his offense, and that could probably be overlooked if he was playing DPOY level defense, but he’s not that level of defender, so no, an All-Star level player he is not he is excellent in his role for this team...people often overlook that
