This is some absurd conjecture. When you run off the ball, it's more difficult to double because someone else has the ball. You can double an off ball player, but that is even more advantageous for the offense than being doubled on the ball.

Westbrook is a NBA level pg. He can pass to off ball catch and shoot players.

Also, funny you mention CP3, because part of the alleged beef between CP3 and Harden was Harden being so stationary and lazy off the ball.

 

The only thing I will agree with is that Gary needs more time... other than that all the other guys on the bench arent worth playing.

 

Eh, the 65 win team had a 5 game losing streak in December. It’s a long season, there are ebbs and flows.

Yeah but they didn't have that kind of scoring drought. Against starless GSW, at times against Sacramento.

At least I did not recall it in the regular season.

They had them against dynasty version of GSW in the playoffs.
I wouldn't conclude anything other than the road ahead will be harder than in the past 2 years.

I mean Tucker is 2 years older than on that team, and still playing 40 minutes a game.

They are gassing out way faster than expected, again, this is just an observation.

We don't have players move off the ball much. They just stand in their positions most of the time. So I don't know what you are referring to.

And this is part of the beef CP3 had with Harden, his absurd laziness off the ball.

 

Dude barely crossed halfcourt and just stood there.

The stats beg to differ...take a look. Harden did what he was suppose to do...feed the ball to others when doubled. Harden shot an efficient 50% with only 11 assist. Those assists were the most by any Rocket player. The one glaring stat is Harden's FTs for the game...only one that he missed.

i'll respect your opinion above. moving forward, it's a lot easier to change the coach than change the players. in fact if not for tilman being too cheap to eat pringles' final year of salary, we'd probably already have a different coach right now. sadly, it looks like this is just going to be a lost season until tilman makes a new hire in the summer.

 

They prolly just said it was beautiful offense because Nash is white .

I don't know how people defend this ****. Those shot attempts and dribble moves the other Rockets are resorting to are not moves they are comfortable doing because the guy they rely on to do everything is just standing at the half court

pretty much this.
having a 4 on 3 at the top of the key going downhill.. there is no better situation in half court basketball than that. u don't mess that and try to settle for curls and off ball screens and what not. that 4 on 3 should generate a wide open corner 3 or a wide open layup almost every single time. and somehow our guys botched it more often than not in today's game.
