The second one was so egregious. There was no argument that Harden wasn't in a shooting motion when he got fouled, yet it got called on the floor and we lost 3 points. It's crazy that he never blasts the refs after the game in an interview. But I guess he knows if he did he'd just open himself up to more hate.
the last time? Game 6 comeback vs the Clippers. Since then it's been nothing but bias against this team. Maybe it's because Harden is so infamous for drawing fouls, refs find it offensive.
Have you seen the Iverson ref documentary? The refs were mentally hurt when Iverson wasnt suspended so they called major bullshit on him.
Two things can be true at the same time: -The refs can hold a bias against the Rockets that affect how they call games -There is no organized conspiracy to take down the Rockets from the NBA I think refs are human beings and have all our normal flaws. They watch ESPN and have the same sports opinions any normal fan would. When you hear narrative daily about a team and specifically a player who is narratively the villain of the league .. at least to the media... it’s going to subconsciously affect how these human refs see what Harden is doing on the floor and affects the ultimate calls they make in real time. I also think the Rockets pay too much attention to it and the victimization ends up compounding the issue. A sort of self fulfilling prophecy. The Rockets really should stop the negative response to the bias and actually own it. They will actually play better if they do that.
The reality is that Kim Jong-Silver wants LAL vs Mil finals.. He’s going to do whatever it takes. Teams are going to have to ball out in their playoff series matchups. The writing is on the wall......
Honestly, once those 2 b2b Harden 3s were taken away in the 3rd.... each time I was like watch... we're going to lose by 3 or less. It feels like a bad omen. Then we're up by 2, 1sec left and Kings with the ball.... and all I thought was if 1 of those threes (particularly the first one... incidental contact AFTER the shot in landing zone) had counted, this wouldn't be an issue. Instead, Tucker back peddled from his man and wide open 3. Game. I hate the NBA right now. Props to the King's for hitting 20 threes, but it's still horsesh1t.
Stop blaming the refs. Seriously every ****ing team wants to blame the refs. Warriors fans were b****ing curry doesn't get enough FTs. Lakers fans are b****ing Lakers aren't getting enough FTs. All the other teams are b****ing about harden baiting fouls. It's anoying when a team loses they immediately go for blame the refs.
Whining about refs when we let one of the worst teams in the league without their best player embarrass us on our home court. lmao It’s not hard to beat the bad teams in the league. The Rockets make it hard and don’t play hard, therefor letting the refs come into play.
Giannis isn't even getting ratings. If silver was all about rating why didn't he get the Lakers in the playoffs last year?
Also wanna add besides fans and media moans and groans this replay system has worked against harden as we have seen this season.
Thing that is funny is that people don't seem to understand how REFs affect games. Turnovers: When the refs allows the other team to hack you with no call - turnovers happen . .. meanwhile Trolls scream: Take care of the ball Hard to do when someone is grabbing your wrist Points Allowed: When the refs give you every ticky tack foul and you are in the penalty for the rest of the game. . .hard to do. It allows them to score at will (or the refs' will) and makes you overly cautious on defense maybe to the point of submissive. These contribute more to losses than anything else a ref can do Taking points off the board . . that is a totally blatant thing that is becoming a thing. Rocket River
Point Shaving is Point Shaving And when you don't get calls driving to the basket when it is 50/50 whether it will be a Offensive foul. . . . . . .you tend to not drive as much Rocket River
