You take the good with the bad dude, you're just trying to scapegoat him, he was really productive for us tonight.

 

Wild game.

Harden had one of his most efficient games of the year, westbrook had one of his better games until that 3 in the 4th, thabo had his best offensive game as a rocket, capela was good, ben had one of his better shootong performances, austin turned it on after a terrible 1st half, pj was everywhere.

Still lost

 

I'll be more interested after the all-star game how everything is clicking, I mean it's still early. If this rockets team was in a playoff series right now I'd be more concerned (especially with the current injuries). I still think Westbrook/Gordon can bring a lot more help, especially when all teams are going to have to double Harden

 

dude, it doesn't matter what that percentage is ok? most of those aren't WIDE OPEN ones..they are off the dribble, or contested shots..

he can hit that shot...it doesn't matter if its a good shot or not, what other shot did he have? if he tries to get that ball back to harden, turnover.

you want him to charge into someone? they were going to take a charge.

He hit a wide open one in the third that everyone here would be b****ing about if he missed, but he made it...

he's been doing this **** for ten years..hitting wide open 3s...he did against us last year too, in the fourth quareter...if the coach is ok with him doing it, i think we should to.

 

What now?

 

What matters is that the Rockets are 1-4 against the Bucks, Clippers, Nuggets, and Heat. They're not a legit contender. Their defense isn't good enough, and the "help" around Harden isn't as consistent as the other contenders.

I mean those are some long defenders man. Capela doesn't have the power to try to rip through people so chances are that in those kind of plays he is probably going to get blocked. It is what it is.

 

I’m not scapegoating ****. This is who Russ is. Westbrick gonna Westbrick. You keep the faith though. I wasn’t expecting to go far with him anyways.

 

I feel like there's a lot of excuses being made similar to previous seasons. "We only lost because of this and that." At the end of the day, if you can't win when it matters (the last minutes of the game have always ruined the Rockets after having a lead), you're not built to contend.

 

he’s not perfect, but he more than did his part tonight, and that’s been the case for quite a few games now

fully healthy Clippers at home barely managed to beat a shorthanded Rockets team...it is what it is, on to the next

 

The gist of it is top 5 teams will continue trap and play like the hardest playoff ball against Harden. No matter win or lose.

The Clips, Fakers, Bucks, Boston, Philly, Utah, Denver, Mavs, Raps, Heat... and other teams.
He is literally alone again and likely getting fatigued.
WB is okay but not great in this system IMO. It is what it is.

 

This is ridiculous if you actually watch how vulnerable the clippers defense was.

Westbrook is literally the Rockets Draymond in these situations and Dray NEVER lets the defense win by settling for an early wide open 3. He attacks the 4 on 3s and gets dunks and wide open shots for good shooters.

The possibilities are endless if Westbrook simply drives and forces a second rotation. Capela lob dunk, wide open -LTucker 3, swing sequence for a wide open harden . A LAYUP. Endless good chances.

But he chucks up a 24 foot brick.

 

This is the problem. We played really well. Way above our median performance. And the Clips just did what I imagine they do every night.

 

he just doesn't have bball instincts or fundamentals. he's been consistently making that 5ft hook shot all week, but doesn't have the bball IQ to know he could have easily spun the other way and gotten that off cleanly. his attempted alley oop pass in the 4th was horrendous as well

 

then get the f out of this thread then. People have heard you b**** for years, get off the forum then
