ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Clippers 11/22/2019

Penalty free throws did us in. These Clippers are overrated.

 

What? Rockets were damn clutch that game, get your head out of your ass. Just because we didn't win doesn't mean we weren't clutch. Clippers were unfortunately just more clutch than us this game.

 

The 4 fouls in one minute might of had something to do with that.....

 

I thought this game shows Clippers aren't all that.

They had like 10 possessions in a row with free throws in the 4th.

We missed some gimmes like Westbrook and Capela, not scared of this team

 

Ughhhhh Clemons wide open ! Leonard pushing off to hit shot ! Westie shooting that 3 which he knows he suxks at ! Just frustrating

 

And yet, that's a hypothetical and this is one more L on the record in a stacked western conference. This **** is depressing...

 

Man no way is Russ ever to take they last shot and he does it and leaves ton of time for them to take their time going the other way what a numbskull

 

I know they were trapping Harden but it still doesn't sit well that Westbrook took 6 more shots than him. Also frustrating that Harden missed so many free throws. If he shot his usual percentage from free throw we win too.

Finally, IF THEY WOULD JUST PLAY HARTENSTEIN WE WIN.

That's the only way for us to guarantee a title. Any close games like this will be dictated by the refs, not in our favor.

We just don't have enough this year to put us over the top, even with EG back. We're good enough to compete with the other contenders but it seems they are just better than us, overall roster.

we lost because we went 26-38 from the line, and the Clippers were clutch

Harden was being double teamed every single possession...if he had came into this game looking to force 25-30 shots over 2 defenders, you’d have been b*tching about that too

 

Just imagine when we are at full strength with eg and house.

Westbrook cost the Rockets dearly in the fourth quarter tonight, other than the nice pass to Tucker and one successful drive to the basket.

He can’t be taking that three in a one-point game with seven seconds left.

 

No it wasn’t. It shouldn’t have come to that. It was all the stuff before. Misses a lot of free throws. Had a 5 point lead and a point blank layup or dunk but we fumbled the ball and turned it over which led to a 3. That was the biggest play of the game to me.

 

It was the bullshit foul calls, 4 in 1 minute, that led to that.

 

It isn't respectable when we're up by 5 points with 1 minute to go. We have to be smart and not allow so many open 3pt shots in the last minute. That's where our terrible perimeter defense comes into it yet again.

I expected to lose today, but we're literally the dumbest team in the NBA.

 

Two fastbreaks that he was looking for a call. Just put the ****ing ball in the hoop. Man what a game. Harden can't win games by himself if he is going to be doubled all game. It's pretty freaking amazing how he is still putting up big numbers despite being doubled from the very beginning.
