I don't get it. Didn't we give up 46 points to Miami in the first quarter with mostly starters playing?
These statistics just go to show how bad the bench is …. guys we were counting on like EG. Thabo has been pretty rotten too. Missing GG doesn't help ...
I'd like to believe you …. but tell me , with what assets and what financial vehicle will they move salary ?

According to this chart, the starting five are our only 5 positive players. Everyone else is way negative in Overall Raptor and WAR (Wins Above Replacement). Danuel House have been our second best player so far. Eric Gordon has been abysmal on both ends of the floor and is the lowest rated player with significant minutes in the league
As has been pointed out, House did not start against the Heat. EG did. Again showing how bad he's been this season so far.
Lineup numbers, net rating and +/- data are incredibly unreliable this early with so few minutes accrued. I doubt Seth partnow would claim these numbers to be statistically significant when one or two instances of play could drastically impact the data.
I definitely wish MDA would leave House in the starting lineup whether the numbers bear out all season or not. He is just a better fit due to height and rebounding. Ego doesn't rebound at all really and we need that. Ego needs to learn how to have fun again as a 6th man. He got paid to be efficient and not suck like this first few games. I'm sure he will come around though, I just hope it's off the bench where he belongs.
Kings at #2 on that list... ...so why are they 2-6? Of all the teams on that list, BKN and SAC have losing records, currently. Why is that?
I think he is talking about integrating Westbrook as the "huge piece", and saying we are not done adding talent could mean just about anyone including unsigned and G league guys.
Then it's the bench that sucked. We should try Hartenstein over Chandler! With him, we don't give up rebounding while putting up spacing
GSW and Memphis are now the Worst of the West. The Bulls are a 3-6 team. Dunno how much fool's gold that this.
Starters go in, play well, get an early lead, then the team blows it as soon as the bench players go in. Also possible that the coaches of these teams have the rotations set up in a way that the full starting 5 man lineup rarely/never appears again. This isn't exactly a deep dive, but I just checked the box score for the first 9 games of the Kings and they would be 7-2 if those games ended in the first quarter. They were up 10 on the Jazz, up 7 against Denver, and up 4 against Phoenix, but they lost all those games. I know the starters don't play the entire first quarter but this at least gives you some idea of what's going on in their games. Keep in mind the net rating from the OP is only keeping track of the score when their exact starting 5 are in the game together. It's not a combination of their total minutes in other lineups or anything like that.
