[Chicken Sandwich Battle] Chick-fil-A versus Popeye's

Cannot say every location will be the same quality...

But for me...yes. It was as good as before. Still easily above Chick Fil A for me.

 

It was great the last time I had it, but it gave me the *****.

 

I finally tried it yesteday at location on Gessner near i10. About a 30 minute wait at 9:30 PM.

It was as good as advertised for the most part, but did make me gassy. Lol.

 

The sandwich is good, but not necessarily better than CFA. It’s about preference and the taste that you prefer. For me I’m still a CFA guy.

I haven't even had the Popeye's sandwich but if you're waiting 30+ minutes in line for it, I don't even want it. The biggest draw for CFL for me is the super-fast efficient drive-through. CFL gets my vote.

 

I just got my sammich. Only 2 cars in front of me in the drive-trhu.

Pretty damn good I must say. More bang for the buck than CFA and more flavorful. Good tasting fries too. Would buy again.

 

Dammit, now yall have me thinking about chicken, and I'm not in the mood to cook tonight. No Popeyes within 50 miles or so, it's either spicy tenders from Chick Express or spicy sammich from CFA. Assholes.

 

No line at my location for lunch today. Got 2, not bad. Didnt feel great after eating it. Food truck down the road crushes it. CfA gets the nod because of the fries.

 

See too many of those too that have lines out to the street just because it's Tuesday.

Just picked up my CFA spicy deluxe. It'll do. I do hate that they try to put pickles on it but do not have red onions.

 

I agree. Finally tried one today. Waited in about a 10 car line for about 15 minutes. Passed by quite a few of them today. They were all packed. I really like the sauce, chicken was crispy and hot, bun was fresh and a little doughy. To me it was much better than any chicken sandwich I’ve ever had a chick fil a.

 

Dude, Cajun fries destroy waffle fries.

 

Worst thing about CFA is their fries, unless you eat them on the spot.
