The way the media is saying the Nats were robbed on the interference call, its probably best that they went on to win. We all know how Houston Championships often get an asterisk. So just win it all tonight...go Stros.

5 of the last 6 world series, the away team have celebrated their championship win on the opponent's home field.

You have to go back to 2013 where Boston won it at home. For 5 years in a row, the away team have ended things.

    2018 - Boston in LA
    2017 - Houston in LA
    2016 - Chicago in Cleveland
    2015 - Kansas in NY
2014 - San Francisco in Kansas

Let's see if the streak continues or Houston will end it.

    After G2, a G7 seemed unimaginable. I’ll take it, let’s go.

Give Nats some credit. SS was filthy and they had some very timely hits. JV had a few rough innings, but he kept it close enough to where I don’t get the smear campaign.

Stros got two runs in the first and told Verlander to hold this lead, wrong pitcher he gives up too many walks and hrs.

Don’t you understand, Altuve’s, Brantley’s, Gurriel’s, and Alvarez’s 0 hits and Correia’s 1 meaningless hit were JV’s fault. They don’t have confidence when he pitches or something.

3 runs in 5 innings averaged out in 9 innings gives you a 5.4 era.

    Hardly,

7 innings and 1 run is something JV is capable of
Based off how good he is.

he’s a different man in the World Series.

I knew JV was going to pitch like trash from the jump. Watch his playoff starts when it has gone bad and what he did on hitter number one. He misses arm side and up. That’s a sign of being way too amped. Any baseball pitcher whose played in high school should recall that being the result. Either you tug the ball or it’s up and away. When JV is on, its pin point. He felt the pressure last night.

JV didn’t have a good game by his or anyone’s standard. But it wasn’t a terrible start and we were right there when he left. He wasn’t the biggest culprit.

    Greinke gets it done tonight.

Is Urquidy rested? Just curious how an all hands on deck game might play out. No JV for sure - maybe Cole for an inning or two? Meh - maybe not

This is why we traded for Grienke.

The fourth run in Game 2 was hardly his fault. The Astros were within a run in both the games when he was taken out this year.

Could he have pitched a shutout or only let up 1 run and carried the team? Yes. Was it his fault they lost any of those games? No, he pitched good enough to keep them in all the games.

All of these new people in the forum from the GARM with **** takes, and of course I see the absolute worst poster on the board liking all of them. Lots of blocking to do now. Only need to read the regular season gang, could not care less about this Ray dork or any other Astros forum newb and their braindead hot takes. Go back to the ****ing GARM where deplorable takes are the norm.

Agreed but it was still a quality start. This one goes on the offense again. JV "deflated" them said that one tard? Jfc. Just stupid.

Hinch only let him pitch 5 innings game 4 as he was looking ahead in case he was needed for a game 7, so I do expect he is readily available.

The offensive has disappeared for large stretches this postseason and that has nothing to do with Verlander. If being down a run in the fifth inning deflates the team they should not be professional baseball players.
