Honestly, I wish I could say...yeah, you make a good point, but I don't believe Harden can lead a team to a ring. I just don't see the consistency in effort from him, and he has shrunk a lot in big moments.

I know he is an AMAZING offensive talent, but is he a leader of men, is he a winner?

Still up in the air, have seen him improve on D some, but he still is lackadasical far too often on D, now we have 2 of them in him and Rus that basically let guys shoot without closing out.....this seems more like an Enabler move than one to win.

We are tied to Harden, might as well see if he can do it - I have my doubts.......would like to have someone that is respected to help hold him accountable but those days are long gone I suspect.

I wish every single day that Chris Paul's hamstring held up in 2018 so we didn't have to see lazy straw man "is he a winner?!" arguments still being made about Harden.

If this team doesn't win a championship, it won't be because of James Harden.

LOL - I don't think we have a chance at a ring with this roster - sorry - just what I think.

Doesn't mean I won't cheer for them, but I don't like the makeup of this team - the roster has so many holes in it....

Not adding salary in the Westbrook trade was a monumentally bad decision. I'll never understand it.

We could have simply added 2Pat and have had a best case scenario of a tradeable, playable 4 that could shoot and a worst case scenario of a contract to use in matching.

Credit goes to Harden who pushed Tilman to direct Morey.

Yes, I am speculating that we could have gotten a team to throw in a player for free to help them save salary when they cut that same player after the trade to save salary.

I think its pretty clear that the Rockets weren't willing to lock themselves into the tax without it being a surefire thing. I think Clutch reported that he was told they'd only go into the tax for someone like Iggy or better.

The problem is you need salary to get those guys.

And now there are reports that even Iguodala won't push them to go into the tax.

The reality is...the tax is something Tilman is not willing to pay. If he's not going all in with this roster that has virtually no assets for the future, then he never will. Everything said about "winning at all costs" is lip service.

You have a point there, he has tons to prove in the Playoffs.

Nobody is denying he is a great player but he needs to get better at perimeter Defense asap.

The team does not have the money to go after players that can mask WB's and JH's defensive weak spots, at least unwilling to spend till now.

One bigger injury to PJ Tucker, half the house falls apart.

Yeah, I think that I would rather have kept him as he expired a year earlier than Westbrook.

That being said, I would have NEVER given him 40m for 4 years in the first place.

I can understand this frame of mind, especially concerning our defense. I don’t agree that Westbrook is going to be the problem going forward though.

Westbrook has had some of the most statistically dominant playoff runs ever. His plus/minuses are insane...
